Coming up on this Sunday's Idols:

From the press release:

It is only fitting that the musical theme for the Top 6 Spectacular on 9 November is “Millennium Magic”, because these Idols contestants will be superstars of this millennium.

As of this week, there is even more magic in each episode of Idols as the contestants each perform two songs every week from now on. The pressure is building as the Top 6 finalists have to juggle social engagements like the SA Rugby Player of the Year function and practice sessions for their two songs.

So what will the talented Top 6 sing for the fans a the next Spectacular? In no particular order, here are the songs the Top 6 contestants are rehearsing this week:

Daniel Büys will be performing “Waiting On The World To Change” - one of the biggest hits of his idol, John Mayer; as well as Maroon 5’s “Makes Me Wonder”.
Jody Williams chose the Bryan Adams hit - also covered by DJ Sammy - “Heaven”; and the Pussycat Dolls hit “I Don’t Need A Man”.

Björn Blignaut is looking forward to performing that ubiquitous Sean Kingston hit “Beautiful Girls” and Lemar’s “If There’s Any Justice”.

Munro du Toit chose Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” and “How You Remind Me”, by Nickelback.

Andriëtte Norman will display her inner rock chick with Pink’s “Who Knew” and KT Turnstall’s “Other Side Of The World”.

And Tender Mavundla will cover Rihanna’s massive chart-topper “Umbrella” and Beyoncé’s “Irreplacable”.

Tickets are on sale now from Computicket at R60 for seats and R40 for standing tickets. The Spectaculars are recorded on Friday nights at the Ellispark Arena in Johannesburg.

Agree Ama, great song choices, very happy about Bjorn's choices, it suits him well.

Looking forward to see how Adriette will pull of the Pink song, its totally not her at all.

I cant wait 4 Munro either. I sounds like it's gonna be a great show. I think it's time for Daniel to go and I don't think he's gonna pull off Maroon 5.

Spot on Paralyser! Daniel couldn't pull off the Maroon 5 song, it was dreadful.

Tender remains my favourite!
