Oh Gaad... a lot is happening at The Deep. I didn’t do last week's recap - was writing exams, so my week was hectic... thank gaad for this long weekend coz I really needed it. Without wasting anytime, this is a 2 week recap (10 - 21 Sept).
Let start with the small maybe boring storylines.... ok no.. I won’t waste time on how Slu and Georgie stole tourist from Lee and gave them a tour around Horizon deep. That was some stupid comic relief to balance the tensions with the Matabanes and Rajesh.

Break up to make ups
A week ago we saw Ma'Agnes close to cracking. She's caught between a rock and a very hard place. On the one end she wants to be a good wife and support her husband and on the other hand she's a woman who's watching her man run back and forth for his ex-mistress.
Lefa was not getting better; he had high blood pressure which later revealed that he had acute liver infection. This meant that Lefa would have to get a dialysis or get a kidney transplant. Both parents were concerned about the well being of the child and wanted to know what they could do. Refilwe agreed that she'll donate her kidney to her child. Blood tests were done and unfortunately she wasn’t a match. Zeb was devasted and volunteered to get his blood tested, his blood came back as a match.
Zeb told his family that he will donate his kidney to save his child. Ma'Agnes refused. I'm a woman but I didn’t understand why she said No, we talking a child's life here. Zeb was ready to give up his liver when the Doctor found out that he was once psychological unstable - referring to the time he was on a wheelchair. Apparently you can’t donate an organ if you underwent psychological counseling. The doctor interviewed Zeb's family to understand his state of mind when he was on the wheelchair. At the end of the day the kidney transplant was approved.
Maggie (shame) came to apologize to Ma'Agnes for hiding Refilwe. She didn’t get the response she had hoped for, Eggie felt too betrayed by the 2 people she trusted the most. Even after Ma'Agnes found out, Zeb asked Maggie to accomodate Refilwe again especially since the ritual is going ahead. Maggie played host to all the malomes and aunties for the ritual, even helped with cooking samp and mogodu! Parsons realised that Refilwe and Zeb are getting closer, even Vusi and Ma'Agnes saw it. Will fighting to save their child's life bring them together? Will Agnes finally throw in the towel?
The D(ineo)NA results...
Since the last time, Dineo offered to have DNA tests done to prove that she is really Barker's daughter. Barker obviously didn’t agree to just showing up at a doctor's consulting room to have his blood drawn...nooo, he took their blood all the way to Atlanta. This is after she told Dineo: "Your desire for me to be your father is nothing but a fantasy driven by grief". The results came back and Barker went to see Lee to break the news.
B: I have good news and bad news!
B: The bad news is I'm about to loose my reputation
B: The good news is you've acquired yourself a sister.
At first Barker was taken aback with the results. He called Dineo, they had supper and he told her the results. He also admitted to knowing her mom and asked her to tell him about how she grew up. They chatted and got to know each other. She even asked what she should call him Ntate, Dad, Barker? "Lets just stick to Barker for now".
The new Barker family is definitely getting closer. I see Barker making Dineo his right hand lady, I foresee conflict between Dineo and Lee because Dineo will become Barker's favorite. She definitely has the potential to be ruthless like her father, unlike Lee who quit the business to become a hotel owner.
Speaking of Lee, her man is back. He's still badly disturbed about Chad and is still having nightmares. His temper is getting in the way of relationships with everyone. The security guards at the hotel complained that he treats them like soldiers. His relationship with Lee is definitely going to suffer, they definitely can’t reach a compromise, so much that Alec went to Barker for another exciting adventure. He's going to Zimbabwe to collect some highly confidential documents for Barker, and ofcourse Lee doesnt know.
Rajesh's Kama Sutra
Last time we saw Rajesh, he had a date with Kerry (Kerishnie). Well she went to his place, he had cooked dinner and you'd think they'll eat first...but noooo... she got there and their mouths met. hehehe she's a freak that one. She asked Rajesh to blind fold her - some Kama Sutra Ish and it went down. The next day Rajesh was so happy, hell they even went as far discussing meeting his parents, because he feels like he's known her forever.
Barker was still on the mission to get Rajesh out of his way so that Frank can be the new CEO. The way things were going for Rajesh (with Kerry) I couldn’t help but wonder if she was sent by Barker! The 2 had an awesome time they met again for another Sutra date, this time she came with a silk scarf. Rajesh tied her up and ofcoz they didn’t show us the rest of the Kama Sutra Session...
The twisted Turn....
So we were left hanging by not seeing what Rajesh & Kerry did. The next thing we saw them sleeping in bed. Rajesh was woken up by a loud knock on the door!! He woke up, clearly had too much to drink, when he lifted his head from his pillow, he was a bit disoriented. He looked over to Kerishnee and guess what.....................................................???
... she was bleeding, and unconscious. Whether she is dead or not - I don’t know! Rajesh panicked, and tried to wake her up. The loud knocks continued, Rajesh was confused, I also thought he was having a bad dream. The loud knock went on... when Rajesh got to his lounge it was upside down, paintings fell from the wall, couches moved, books all over the floor, it looked like there was some serious struggle. He opened the door with his bloody hands and 3 men barged in, one was Barker's Private Investigator (the crazy guy from City ses'la), then my suspicions were immediately confirmed - BARKER WAS BEHIND THIS.
Rajesh was tied up to a chair and the PI told him that he's killed Kerry and will now hide the body. Rajesh was confused begging them to call the ambulance because she was bleeding. The PI then made a call and put the phone on speaker - "Rajesh Kumar!!" - it was Barker. He told Rajesh that he's been watching his relationship (with Kerry) with interest. He inserted cameras in the house and caught everything on camera. He spiked all his drinks with drugs and told Rajesh that he was so high that he (Rajesh) killed Kerry. Obviously Rajesh doesn’t remember this, but when he saw a video of himself beating up Kerry to a pulp he just broke down and cried. I just dont know what kind of drug they used, but it looked like Rajesh killed/beat up Kerry. It was vicious. He was beating her non-stop. He asked Barker what he wants from him, his reply was "Step down as CEO of ONTV!" This happened the day before the deciding board meeting.

All board members met at the ON studios and everyone was waiting for Rajesh to arrive. He arrived in a simple golf t-shirt and jeans. Barker announced that Rajesh has an announcement to make. That's when Rajesh announced that he would like to step down as a possible candidate for the ON CEO position. He gave some lame excuse about having personal issues bla bla bla. Frank & Lee were stunned, Barker looked like the cat that got the cream. Lee was suspicious that her father may have something to do with Rajesh's sudden decision. Lee tried to speak to Rajesh, but he couldn’t explain to her. Barker called Lee in back to the Boardroom. When Lee went back in Barker told Rajesh that he made a wise decision, he also told him that he's called his associates, by the time he gets home everything will back to normal. Yeah right how the hell does he expect Rajesh to sleep in the same bed?
Frank was voted as the new CEO and he definitely did not celebrate because he knows that he did not win fairly!
The Aftermath...
Rajesh told Frank that he's going to disappear for a while because he did something horrible to Kerishnie. He just needs Frank to cover up for him, he's not allowed to tell anyone of what happened. He didn’t tell Frank the exact details, that’s all he told him. He got home and it was back to normal (well it was cleaned). He found Kerry's earring and he broke down and cried...
I have a feeling that Kerry is not really dead, she'll come back somehow. Barker probably paid her alot of money to act the way she did. I really didnt believe what Barker did. I must say congrats to Isidingo, that took us by suprise. We had forgotten what Barker is really capable of.
