Checked out Cape Town Fashion Week and spotted 2 Isidingo actors. The 2 gay characters: Paul and Steve (is he still on Isidingo??). They were both there with their other halves. I don’t know if Paul is deeply in lahv with his woman or he was trying to prove that he’s only gay at The Deep. He kept on kissing her and brushing her thigh during the show! Yes Paul!! We get it…PDA is your thang!!
I wasn’t so sure if I’d be able to watch the whole Omnibus of Isidingo, but Gaad was I surprised. I only changed channels during the short ads. I think Isidingo is slowly but surely getting back on the rails. I will not give them too much props, coz next thing you know, the spunk disappears.
I’m back with the recap for the week 6-10 August.
Q up to some good??
I really don’t know what to expect or think of Q’s new role. After the community wasn’t so supporting of Lee’s hotel and the bad publicity it received, Q came up with an idea the impressed Lee. There’ll be a charity fundraising that is aimed at uplifting the community. When Lee pitched the idea to Vusi and Siyanda they were impressed. Even more impressed when they realized it was Q’s idea. Now I don’t really care what it’s about but since Q’s last incident, I don’t trust him. He might just rob The Duncan Hotel.
Nomusa, remember her? She wanted to be The Golden Herald’s Shwashwi and Maggie got the job? (I wonder if she’s still writing). She was temping at The Rec and she got a job as a receptionist at The Duncan.
Still at The Duncan, Alec’s buddy is blackmailing him bout going to Chad coz his family is being threatened. Another story that’s boring the hell out of me. Alec should just go and leave Lee alone, coz a sms I got, suggested that Lee and Q could make an interesting couple…hmmm… its cool, you can go Alec. Go save the world, see if we care…
He wasn’t man enough…
Poor Zeb Matabane clearly doesn’t have a backbone. He was so intimidated after Georgie beat him in the debate. He should call Justice from Big Brother to give him some advice on debating. That boy should go…!! Eeh i'm side-tracking… So Zeb was watching Ma’Agnes do damage control and he got an idea that I had last week and told Ma’Agnes that she should be the one running for councilor because she’s been doing all the work anyway.
Eggie was looking for answers on how to run the campaign. She turned down the idea that her family had on fighting Zamdela. When asked if she had better ideas, Eggie went upstairs and asked Gaad to show her way and give her answers. Well her prayers were answered because she woke up with 5 ways to make The Deep a better place. She printed her 5 commandments on papers and distributed them with the help of the church and sewing circle ladies. I missed the first one but the rest went like this….
2. The community will take responsibility for crime
3. The HIV+ people must get ARV’s and counseling
4. Education education education (yep she said it 3 times)
5. Jobs Jobs jobs
Eggie also swore that she will not use the media to promote her campaign. She saw how it manipulates the truth. She only did one TV interview with Lolly. Where she explained her second commandment: The community taking responsibility of crime means that the people must help the police with putting criminals behind bars. When someone knows about any criminal activity, they should report it to the cops.
Dumb and Dumber…
…aka Georgie and Slu. After hearing that Ma’Agnes has replaced Zeb, they were a bit shaken because they know how she can get. They’ve lost a battle against her before so this is not good news for them. So what do they do?? They get back at her by hiring her daughter to sing at the Shebeen’s opening.
Lettie went against her parents wishes and sang at Georgie’s Shebeen anyway. She claimed that some hot shot producer will be there and this could be her chance to make it big in the music industry. Georgie ensured that that the press (Lolly) was there to cover the event and the 2 announced that they are proud to have Lettie endorsing Papa G’s campaign.
I don’t know why Lettie took Georgie’s word, she’s really dumb sometimes. Her family told her that Georgie will use this against her mother’s campaign. She should’ve have said “I Lettie Moletsane, do not support Georgie’s campaign” before she started singing.
Nicky’s Trap…
The emotional rollercoaster that Frank & Tash were in seemed to have come to a stand still. Natasha managed to talk to Nicky and give her reasons why she can’t let go of Frank. Seems she said something right because Nicky was eventually okay with the situation.
Her father came to visit and asked her how she’s really doing. He even asked if Frank is making her feel uncomfortable. I mean hello…what do you mean? He assured her daughter that if she does feel comfortable she can tell him and he’ll have Frank kicked out in a sec. Troy even offered her to come stay with him if she wants. This somehow gave Nicky an evil idea….
The next morning she was all friendly and bought Calvin a stand up comedy DVD. Everything was back to normal; Frank and Tash were pleased at how things have sorted themselves out. This was until Calvin was watching the DVD alone, and the parents were out for the night. Nicky was all dressed up, tight pants, cleavage and all. She kept on getting closer and closer and closer, he was moving further and further away. He left her alone in the lounge.
Theeen Calvin was alone again. Nicky started closing the blinds. Then came onto Calvin. He got nervous and asked what she was doing. “Come on Calvin, it’s not like you can’t see what’s happening”. She took his hand and put it on her face and kissed him. Calvin kissed back. She moved in a way that Calvin is on top of her. While they were kissing (Calvin on top), the parents walked in. Calvin tried to jump off, but Nicky grabbed him so he couldn’t escape. So to the parents saw Calvin on top of Nicky. Frank started shouting, Nicky started crying….
This was her version: “I was just watching TV and he came on to me. I didn’t want to!!” Her version to her mother was: Calvin has been flirting with her for over a month; Tash then drew the conclusion that is why she didn’t want Calvin and Frank in the house.
Obviously both parents took their kid’s side. This broke the family in half again and Frank went back to looking for a place to stay. Frank went as far as asking Lolly how Calvin was when he had a thing for him. He did it to find out if Calvin was ever aggressive or violent; Lolly told him that Calvin was sweet and gentle. So Frank believes his son and has decided to move out. So Nicky is being a real bitter b!tch. I really don’t know what her intentions are or maybe she needs some serious therapy. Or kanjani…
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* THE END ^**^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
I’ve never been so angry at someone that I did something extreme to get back at them. Yes I’ve been hurt, and I’m the kind that went “damn I should’ve done this or done that”. A friend of a friend burnt his cheating boyfriend’s car. Are you one of those people who go all Angela Basset and get your revenge, what was it?
What are the weird and wonderful stories do you have of you or people going to extremes in the name of Revenge?
You know what to do by now….
Much Lahv…....
