 e.tv has announced that as from next week (16 December) America's Next Top Model 5 will be broadcast in Tuesday night double bills until the Finale - with a two-week hiatus over Christmas and New Year in between.
Here's a rundown of the episode schedule, with spoiler-free teasers about each:
The Girl Who Steps On The Pretty Flower (Recap episode)
Episode 8
On: 16 December 2008 at 20h00
Never-before-seen footage from the first eight weeks of the show which includes an inside look at some surprising and hilarious moments, such as the girls going wild when a bird gets loose in the house.
The episode also features the models getting upset and confronting Jayla about her negative and hurtful comments towards others.
Later, Nicole and Ebony secretly mock Jayla and Cassandra, and Coryn turns into a prankster on the other models. Meanwhile, Lisa shows her unusual way of making sure she gets exercise.
The Girl Whose Boyfriend Is Cheating On Her
Episode 9
On: 16 December 2008 at 21h00
Winner of the third season, Eva Pigford invites the models to one of her photo shoots and shares some advice on surviving the competition.
The contestants are given an entourage of make-up personal and stylists to make them look good. The task is to impress record executive, Benny Medina in an interview. The winner will make a guest appearance on the drama, Veronica Mars.
Once all the fun and games are over, the girls have to keep their composure in a photo shoot with MTV’s Wildboyz. One of the models is so determined to upstage their antics she urinates in a nappy.
Tyra Banks makes a shocking announcement during elimination.
Two week hiatus
The Girl Who Talks Behind Everyone’s Back
Episode 10

The competition has reached a whole new level of intensity after last week’s shock. All the girls are packed and ready for their international trip to the cosmopolitan city of London.
First, they have to pose for their passport pictures and look like top models in them. The winner and a friend can look forward to date with two sophisticated English gentlemen. The photo shoot is a risqué one as the models all find themselves inside a phone booth. The aim is to stand out, look sexy in nothing but a pantie and a piece of newspaper and most importantly outshine the rest of the competitors.
Behind the lens, two modelettes confront another model after overhearing her gossip about them.
The Girl Who Retaliates
Episode 11
On: 6 January 2009 at 21h00
Miss J. Alexander schools the models in the art of standing absolutely still as they pose as statues in a park. Some of the competitors are distracted from the task when pigeons come to perch on top of them. The winner of the challenge gets to go on a shopping spree.
Later, one contestant finds her granola bars have been stolen and immediately assumes who the suspect is and decides to get even. She empties the person’s Red Bull down the drain. At elimination the judges are made aware of her rash actions.
The models’ photo shoot involves posing as modern interpretations of classical art.
The Girl Who Takes A Pill
Episode 12
On: 13 January 2009 at 20h00
The final four have to dress to impress when they are sent on go-sees in London and each model is given a theme. The winner gets extra frames during their upcoming photo shoot. The contestants are then divided into groups of two and the two girls who had a confrontation last week make peace.
Panel judge and noted Fashion Photographer, Nigel Barker introduces the modelettes to his mother, a former Miss Sri Lanka. Inspired by the cultural knowledge, the models are instructed to stand out in a Bollywood photo shoot.
One contestant makes a mistake by accepting a pill from another contestant and ends up feeling worse after taking it.
The Girl On The Cover (Finale)
Episode 13
On: 13 January 2009 at 21h00
The final three go head to head in a CoverGirl commercial and a photo shoot. One contestant is eliminated afterwards and the final two participate in a shoot with Tyra Banks photographed by top fashion photographer, Gille Bensimon.
The final runway challenge gets underway with former winners, Eva Pigford and Naima Mora joining the final two.
