Eating, drinking, driving and flying - these are all activities that we carry out without giving them a second thought.

But have you ever wondered what exactly goes into your teabag and how it got there? And how exactly does an airport handle hundreds of thousands of items of luggage each day?

Every day we come into contact with technology, be it in the bathroom, in the car or on the golf course.

Storm Chasers
Premiere date: 17 March at 19h00

Every year a motley collection of scientists, enthusiasts and eccentrics brace themselves for another season of storm chasing.

Their goal is to spot one of Mother Nature's deadliest and most violent creations: the tornado. But for our team, seeing a tornado is not enough; the team hopes to achieve the impossible and actually go inside one of these storms.

Research meteorologist Josh Wurman has teamed up with extreme filmmaker Sean Casey to form an amazing partnership.

They both share the goal of intercepting a tornado, but for entirely different reasons. Josh needs an individual who can carry his scientific instruments into the vortex of a tornado, and Sean needs someone who can direct him into the correct position to capture incredible IMAX footage.

Filming from the turret of his custom-built Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV), Sean puts his life on the line as he endeavours to get the most elusive - and riskiest - tornado footage ever shot.

Street Customs
Premiere date: 17 March at 21h00

Street Customs highlights the talents of car-customising star Ryan Friedlinghaus and his unorthodox approach to managing his ‘West Coast Customs’ family of artisans and technicians.

The series features the process behind the builds and showcases West Coast Customs' original designs that have propelled them to the top of the car-tuning game.

Each episode chronicles the boundary-busting cars that epitomise the street edge, passion and craftsmanship that West Coast Customs represents - and that owner Ryan Friedlinghaus demands.

The builds range in scope from customising modern-styled street rods to chopping up $100,000 luxury vehicles. These creations have an impressive client list to match, including sports icons, the Hollywood elite and famous car aficionados.

Dr G. Medical Examiner
Premiere date: 20 March at 21h00

One of America’s most respected forensic pathologists, Dr Jan Garavaglia, takes viewers on an unprecedented look behind the scenes at the world of science, mystery and justice in 'Dr G: Medical Examiner'.

Each one-hour episode will include actual, in-depth examinations and autopsies, as well as the exploration and investigative field work conducted by Dr G and her team at the Orange-Osceola County Medical Examiner’s office in Florida.

Overhaulin'
Premiere date: 24 March at 08h15

overhauling

The makeover show for car enthusiasts is back for another season, with Chip Foose leading the charge to create hot, gorgeous, custom-built cars from old clunkers.

The Overhaulin' team returns to perform ultra high-speed custom makeovers, with stealthy cooperation from friends and family to separate the car from the owner.

Chip is joined by co-hosts and design masters Chris Jacobs and Adrienne 'AJ' Janic to form the expert team of builders who work non-stop until the old, junky vehicles are turned into masterpieces of automobile artwork.

With only a few days and a limited budget to get the job done, the team kicks into gear.

Urhg - all these cars shows are getting too much now - two new enthusiast shows in one month isn't necessary. They may as well call Discovery The Car Channel.
