Mighty Ships

Mighty Ships' provides exclusive access to some of the world's most extraordinary working ships. Featuring visuals from aboard these vessels, the show gives an in-depth look at the mechanics of each ship and the intricate relationships of the people on board.

Ships explored include the HDMS Absalon, one of the high military ships of the sea and the Fairplayer, a new class of ship built to transport huge equipment, on her maiden voyage carrying oil refinery machinery.

The series is as much about what happens inside the ship as the journey that each vessel makes.


World's Toughest Tools

American Loggers 2

American Loggers continues to follow the working life of the family-run logging enterprise Pelletier Brothers, Inc.

The business started half a century ago and has flourished; it now employs dozens of men to work across the thousands of acres in the forests of northern Maine, America.

It is a wet start to the new season and 30 days of non-stop rain has turned the legendary logging route known as the Golden Road into a muddy mess.

With treacherous weather conditions making it difficult to haul double loads of timber, maximising profits is a challenge. Prepare to be gripped by their hard work and determination as the men risk their lives to make a living.



Battle Machine Bros

Battle Machine Bros follows the family business of identical twins Mike and Geoff Howe as they build exciting machines.

In each episode, they work to push the limits of innovation by creating new and ingenious machines, including re-designing a military tank and constructing a supercharged subterranean rover: an off-road vehicle designed to travel deep into coal mine tunnels.

Working with their wives and their loyal shop crew, the Howe brothers put everything they have into their inventions. No idea is too crazy, but the success or failure of each invention could make or break their small shop, which is on the verge of huge success.



Special: King Tut Unwrapped

World-renowned Egyptologist Zahi Hawass leads an unprecedented forensic investigation into the identity of King Tutankhamun’s parents and grandparents, his cause of death and details of his reign.

Part one of this documentary special follows the delicate DNA extraction from Tut’s mummy, setting into motion a series of cross-reference studies to determine the Boy King’s family.

Part two uses never-before-examined evidence to conclude what caused his death and how that information sheds new light on his time as a military, religious and political leader. From the pristine interiors and precision work of the DNA lab to the dusty, unpredictable dig sites in the field, Dr Hawass leads an intense and personal journey for the truth.
