After visiting Shoprite downtown, i was left with nothing but disgust; and after standing on those long horrid ques i cursed at everything and everyone that came across me. I started thinking about the pathetic services that we as consumers are often faced with as well as people who have pissed me, which is why i decided to name and shame.

There i was with my 2 litre coke standing in a que with about 50 people ahead of me. What didnt make sense was the fact that there were about 5 empty teller machines whereas people re- did the '1994 voting lines' in the store. What even bothered me the most was the fact that of 4 tellers, 3 were these elderly people who dared not to smile as they gave everybody the 'dont come here with your voet- voet nonsense' as they were extremely slow to 'beep' my 2 liter coke.

So if you are an employee at Shoprite Downtown, Johannesburg CBD or whatever you want to call it; or if your granny works there, PLEASE kindly tell her to stay at home! as that attitude is soooo not Ayoba! Your services are soo pathertic.

And if you by any chance know Bonang Matheba, please tell her i say ignoring and blocking people (Awe, Sncura and Renegade can testify to this one) on Twitter is also regarded as being rude and that Karma is a Bee- eye- tch!!

And Ms Thandiswa Mazwai, when we greet you, it is actually ok to smile back and return the gesture, you carry on with that attitude and you will be selling your CDs to your initiates downt at kabokwe.

Lastly, Zuluboy if you are reading this, can you please take a shower as bumping into you always tempts me to throw up! Yep am that guy from your flat.

PHEEEEEW! that feels way much better! Now bloggers Name and Shame, Naam en Skaam (oom Piet Dlamini would be so proud), ambai u shonise, bua o swabise, khuluma u something.......(aint zulu, please excuse me!) be it a store, shcleb jus name and shame!

@tzhavile...Today l will name and praise great service... Nhlanhla from Edgars Fourways Mall, offered me a great service on this weekend (10th) even though l have things l need to finalise with Edgars and Vodacom, she was such a sweetheart and proud of what she is doing. we need more people like her in terms of good service to the customers.Thumbs up, may she keep up the good work.

I want to name and shame a guy called Howard from Bridal Warehouse in Eastgate.

how can I make an appointment with you and you forget to mention that it's R100 to fit each dress.

And why the hell when I call you for directions you give the phone to some black lady- who the *bleep!* said I cant speak English or that I cannot understand directions in English?

How of you Howard to answer your phone whilst I'm busy addressing the issue of you not telling me to bring money. You answered your phone- didnt even excuse yourself and never came back to finish our discussion.

How the hell do you sell me a wedding gown without a petticoat? It's like selling a car without wheels. The dress was made so that a petticoat could fit in there.

NXA. Who the hell says you're the cheapest wedding dress store in Gauteng? I found a nicer and cheaper dress that comes with a petticoat, veil, garter and a fur coat thingy shud it get cold. You can go jump you fool

It's been 3 days and we're still waiting for Vitamins that you ordered for us. It's a prescription surely those shouldnt be hard to find....

All black people who go out of their way to give other black people a hard time just because they are in a position to do so. Dont you just hate it when you go for an interview and a black brother just gives you attitude just because he hold the key to you getting a job in that company. Worse he might even be working for HR not that he has an power in the company.

I love eating out, when I can afford it, and Food and Wine at The Design Quarter is one of my favourite eateries in JHB. However I was shocked to find out that i get treated differently just by the company that I have when Im there. Granted this only happened once but it goes back to blacks mistreating black jst for the F*k of it. I noticed that on the occassions that I was there with my folks or realtives who happen to be white (dont ask) the waiters there have been very attentive BUT when I went there with my frnds and we were all darkies the waiters could not even be bothered to check whether we needed help or not. Is it because they assumed that we wont tip them as much as the white folks so why should they put in the effort? Either way, you not doing me a favour by giving me good service, no matter who I am with, it's your JOB.

As for the brothers and sisters in high positions who think looking down on another brother simply because you want to show off that you have a high status than him - SHAME ON YAH!! Remember someone had to give you a chance too, for you to be in that position so the least you can do is get off your high horse and extend the same courtesy to others

I went to this interview late last year, In the panel of 5 judges, the was this one black guy! Boy did he try to make look stupid! throwing all those big words, interrupting before i even answer the question and as if that was not enough......the bastard just threw a pen at me and ask me to name 10 uses of a pen......haaaibo!!!looks at his watch and he was like: 'you have 10 seconds'

I will never forget that guy for as long as i live! the guy from MassMart in Sunninghill!!!

well said blaqueboi - its a pity that us darkies are self colonised. for me the worst lot are the maids. they behave totally when they work for a whitie. no matter how much we try to make them feel like they are part of the family, they still wont give they respect they receive. its a real pity. i just wonder for how long we will continue putting each other down :-(

How differently were you treated in comparison to your folks? Was it because the people serving were not attentive enough when compared to your folks talking to them?

Sometimes us darkies we have an attitude when we are at the restaurant, some us think they are doing them a favour by being there. Attitude from both sides also counts. It should not come from one side just because you are a customer. This thing of saying the customer is king sometimes it is bull. It just does not work that way.

On the interviewing comment I concur with you.

realist i am so with you!! some times darkies give attitude for no reason..
Last year i was saving up on something , so one of my friends who owns a club/restaurant asked me to work part time there as a waitress and she said the tips were great ,

When i started all the waiters didnt want to serve black people and i asked why and they said well they do not pay tips!! I went out of my way to serve them fast and believe me i got all kind of attitudes some even treated me like i am their maid and they left no tips at all.

Whereas the caucasions leave you with 10% of their total bill and if they make you run around the whole nite for a huge bill why should i complain!!!
At one point this guy got me so and i almost told him i had a better day time job than him and he should treat me with respect .

Also both ways some waiters also have attitudes so i guess people should never join the service industry if they cannot smile and have patience

l remember l once complained about the worst college l could recommend to anyone (INTEC) and l got the response both at hellopeter and my email address.

@afternoon....Can l hear an Amen to the FNB Fourways Mall staff, they are all so helpful from the securit to the consultants. l was there this saturday (10th April) and they even gave me free airtime. Sorry l didn't get their names as well, but overal the entire staff looked friendly and helpful. l hope they won't change since they are moving to new buildings next to Newscafe and Meltz.

I want to name and shame the directors of that Hola Mpiji, they did a bad job on the first episode.

I want to name and praise the market place in Simmonds Street, they understand the meaning of good service

I honetsly though it was an unwritten code/rule that waiters/tresses must be tipped 10% of the total cost....well this days i pay in restus..and thats what i do...and i havent yet been treated badly.

But then im generally such a sucker i make conversation all the time i could even invite the waiter for a meal if they would oblige...i have been chasticed.

But really...its not a a rule?....

Realist.....you took words out of my mouth. Well said!! We darkies when going to resturant we give poor waiters/waitresses tough time cozz we think we better than them just because they serve us. The waiter/waitress would come to ask ''are you guys still okay'' or ''can i get you guys anything else'' and thina ke we would just look at her/him and not respond or sibanyusele iimpumlo. So thats why sometimes some waiters/waitresses would not even bother to check up on you to see if you still good

You don’t have to tip anything, it is just an appreciation of the service you received since some of them are rating 50 cents an hour and have to make their income from tips.

bathong, the 10% is an unwritten rule. it gets taken into account when the restaurant managers determine how much to pay the waiters. If they give super service, then you can increase the 10%.

I had totally bad service at Kwazi's yesterday and didnt even bother with a tip. Other than yesterday's incident I cant remeber when last did I get bad service at restaurants. Shame they are trying bo

I will name & shame the ladies from Shoprite (the spaza shop) in Paul Kruger str in PTA. I dont normally use this word "HATE"but u made me hate you guys. The attitude is 4 much 4 my liking. Its a pity u r close 2 my place otherwise i would have spend my hard earned cash somewhere else & the fact that u close late is a bonus. Maar all of u niyabora except the secuties, nice one boys.

l would like to name and shame the RANDBURG CLINIC Sister, she does not greet her patients, she just ask you wants wrong with you and does not touch at all then give you the medication without so many words, what made me angry is that she turned away a mother with a sick baby and referred her to the hospital becuse her time was up. She had the nerve to tell us that the government does not pay them overtime so she needs to be with her family.

l understand her turning me away and the other older patients, not a baby, and you could see that the baby was very sick.

To me Nursing is not just a proffesion it is a calling, something close to your heart, and to all the nurses out there just remember we do not choose to be sick and we did not choose your career.

You choose us, and made a vow to help us get better.

Then l would like to praise the Indian sister and a black sister who does the immunisation for kids, she is such a sweetheart, she knows why she took a nursing career.

Then there is this sister with ginger coloured hair, damn that one is a cow, she doen't belong to the nursing field.

Then there is a half day male doctor, he is such a sweetheart as well but he just needs to go soft on the chewing gum...

Overal, the staff in Randburg clinic are not offering good service.

I didn't want to; but I have to name and shame Sterland in Arcadia, the toilets don't look hygienic at all. Who does the cleaning, it seems as if they don't even use cleaning products. The ground floor cinemas (or Cine), they are all dingy and smelly, I swear Cine 10 smells like urine, you know that smell when you pass a little passage and it reeks of urine, that is how it smells.

I want to name and praise the staff at Sterland, I always get a service with a smile.

Just remember some time last year seeing headlines here that TVSA blogger has made it to the big screen and so on. Most of the Bloggers were on cloud #9 about it, I for one even bought a TV set.

I don't doubt her acting abilities because I know she's good, I just wanted to review her as an actor.

How can i forget, I want 2 name & shame Telkom. Those consultants can drive me nuts with their confusing & complicated questions. They always want something i never head of & expect me to know everything thing as if im a technician. Plus they take their own bloody time 2 fix whatever problem we have. One time we waited for 3 weeks. We couldnt call nor receive. It was a night mare.

and to MTN, VODACOM AND CELL C, this issue of forcing us to hold on the line for an hour while waiting for a consultant is soooooooo not Ayoba! .........with those irritating voices: 'please hold' or "for gprs setting press 3', u press 3 and then: 'for blackberry setting, press 1" and the u press 1, the next you hear :'to return to the mani menu press 10;........haaibo!

Name and shame to vodashop in PTA central at VANDER WALT STREET(between church and pretorius street).I lost my contract phone at the robots.i immidiately report it from them 2 block it because i bought it from them,i even show them my particulars 2 comfirm that i bought it from them.they told me that their job is to sell cellphones not 2 to solve cellphones problem.if i have a problem i have 2 go 2 police station 2 report.i call my cell at the nearby public it says number busy.i asked them to help me call customer care bcause the thief was busy using my airtime(R200).THEY TOLD ME THAT'S NOT THEIR JOB.

Name and shame Debonnairs pizza at Randburg Sanlum Centre, The teller did not give us that alarm clock of theirs and after 20 or so minutes of sitting we decided to ask about our order that has been long done and they just couldn't call our number. We were the only customers in the shop and they did not bother to call us or ask us.

Is it a question of blacks undermining each other, l just wonder. l thing l know is that l am not a bitch to other people and Edgars can testify to that...lol

Name and shame Nedbank Randburg again, l am going back today and will shame the two Indian tellers, damn l offered the m my sweetest smile and greeted them but they just seemed like they had been forced to swallow sour lemons...

@Helzie...On reporting a stolen/ lost cellphone dear you have to go and report it to the Police Station first and get a case number so they can blacklist/ block the number.

l can blame them on not allowing you to call customer care.

Hi ppl, I'm student @ Wits. I want to name and shame KZN Derpatment of Health- My sponsor....... Bursary Till now they havent paid for our fees, and we dont have money to buy books. Last thursady i called this man @ the main offices in PMB and he said yena he is tired of ppl asking when are they gonna pay... He seemed not to have a care that i wrote my tests without textbooks!

Its not like its their money.... its tax payers money!

I came across your post with regards to Cofi Cedar Square and i see that you werent too impressed with the music, just a heads up, as of the 23rd April, Cofi Cedar Square now utilizes us(Party Pimps) for our Dj'ing services on Friday and Saturday nights as well as most Thursdays. come pop in some time, the vibe is very much more local house, RnB and Hip Hop!
