Are you passionate about eastern life and lifestyle? Can you think on your feet, go from grassroots to red carpet with just a single costume change - and project a dynamic presence on screen?
If so, you fit the bill to audition for SABC2's lifestyle show
Eastern Mosaic.
The series has launched another search for presenters (
the first was in 2008) and will be casting in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, starting this Wednesday, 11 April 2102.
Do you have what it takes?
Prospective presenters need not have journalistic or television training but it is important that you feel comfortable in front of a camera. You need to speak clearly and fluently and must be able to project your personality on-screen.
The ability to write, memorise and deliver a brief script is essential. You should also be able to make ad lib comments and do off-the-cuff interviews when required.
Ultimately Eastern Mosaic is looking for candidates who fit the profile of the show. Eastern Mosaic is a celebration of cultural diversity and Indian lifestyle. It is a highly popular magazine programme catering for a large cross-section of the South African population.
The show is packaged in a slick, stylish manner that is accessible to its target audience as well as a huge Indian audience. It is therefore imperative that candidates reflect the philosophy and spirit of the show.
The auditions are open to everyone between the ages of 18 and 38. Smart-casual is the recommended dress option but your image and style are up to you.
