Can you believe it's been 10 seasons (and 12 years) since Heinz Winckler won the first season of Idols? (We can - it feels like a 100 years!).
Whether the timeline feels unbelievable to you or not, one fact remains: Idols isn't going anywhere. It's back for it's 10th season and auditions start in February.

Must-Knows:Auditions are open to all South Africans between the ages of 16 and 30.
Auditionees younger than 18 have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All contestants will be asked to present their ID documents at the registration.
All registration for the auditions takes place at the venues, on the dates above i.e. you must go on those days if you want to enter.
You need to be available to return to the auditions the following day if necessary.
You can audition with musical instruments. A keyboard is available at the venue but you'll need to take any other instruments that you require.
As per usual, you should arrive as early as possible to get a spot in the que. Registration starts between 09h00 and 10h00 at each venue.
