The eighth season of Big Brother Africa premieres on Sunday, 26 May 2013 and the search for housemates has begun.

Entry is open to the same 14 countries as last year with the exception of Liberia which will be replaced by Ethiopia. The show's rotating various countries in and out of the series so Ethiopia will be back for this year and might rotate again in the next season.
As a result, participating countries this year are: Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The prize remains $300 000.
Who can enter?Entry is open to persons over the age of 21, who are citizens of one of the participating countries and who either have a valid passport or will be able to obtain one by the end of March.
Who's the show looking for?
Producers are looking for housemates who are fluent in English, entertaining and passionate about the Big Brother experience. Of particular importance to the selection team are the qualities of tolerance, determination and enthusiasm. The show's also looking to cast people who are open-minded, bold and adventurous.
