Big Brother 7 Large

Back!

Big Brother Africa returns for Season 7 in May and the search for housemates begins soon.

The season premieres on Sunday, 6 May and features various new additions and changes, to both the format and the audition process.

First up: the prize money has been increased - from $200 000 to $300 000.

Also,  two new countries have been added to the country line-up of players: Liberia and Sierra Leone who'll be competing for the first time.

Two countries make way for them: Ethiopia won't be part of the season this time round and Mozambique will take on a different role - with a housemate included - which hasn't been disclosed yet. We'll keep you posted when it is.

The most dramatic change has to do with the castings and housemate set-up: all auditionees need to enter with a partner.

You'll go through the audition process with your partner and if you're successful, both of you will make it into the house together i.e. once you've entered with a partner you'll have to be with them for ages so you have to be sure you really like your partner a lot.

You can enter with anyone you know - family, friends, an acquantiance, whoever you're keen to enter with.

Look around you right this moment .... is there a "potential" sitting near you? Who's your ultimate partner in crime?

You have about two weeks to sleep on it and decide because entries open on Sunday, 5 February 2012. They close on Monday, 27 February.

Who can enter

You and your partner need to be citizens from one of the following participating countries: Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Both partners must come from the same country, must be 21 years or older, must be fluent in English and must have a valid passport.

How to enter

Entry forms will be available from Multichoice offices in the participating countries. They'll also be available online on the Big brother website, here: Big Brother Africa.

You can either fill them in online or you can download them, fill them in and e-mail them to: bba@endemol.co.za.

Entry forms will be available from Sunday, 5 February.

I wonder why they keep ignoring Cameroon. Shame those people have begging for years to be included. I wonder what this partner thing is all about? I hope no married couples are allowed

Hey kentse - they are - partners can be anyone in anyone's life - siblings too, mothers, fathers, neighbours, friends, work colleagues etc.

scrap the damned thing. Have we not had enough of this crap? watching adults idle away in a house for hundreds of thousands of dollars. How about investing this cash in truly entertaining and educative dramas? something that will display real talent. Even a porn flick will make more sense. DSTV are dumbing down the tv industry with their laziness.

I don't think Ethiopia and Mozambique are making enough money 4 the show, their votes are easily manipulated. Nigeria and S.A will always be there because they are huge cash cows 4 the show.

Entertainment/educational and PORN do not belong in one sentence!!!!

Mbulela TopTV has a porn channel - go ahead and subscribe.

People should learn to stop having their lives revolve around a TV show and take a step back.
