On Carte Blanche this Sunday, 14 September 2008:

Forensics

Stellenbosch student Inge Lotz died more than three years ago, but the mystery of who killed her lingers on. Although her boyfriend Fred van der Vyver was acquitted of her murder, litigation is far from over.

Lotz’s parents have brought a civil action against Fred and he, in turn, is suing the state for wrongful arrest. Carte Blanche goes to an international forensics conference in the US, where the SAPS alleged fabrication of evidence was a major talking point.

Presenter: Bongani Bingwa & Devi Sankaree Govender
Producer: Eugene Botha

CB20: Africa’s Angels

This week the Carte Blanche “Make a difference” birthday campaign focuses on charities that have the heart-wrenching task of caring for AIDS orphans. The show meets the social workers from the Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre who are called Africa's Angels.

Presenter: Bongani Bingwa & Bonita Gorrie-Nuttall
Producer: Kate Barry

Hansie

The golden boy of South African cricket until his spectacular fall from grace eight years ago, Hansie Cronje’s death in a plane crash in June 2002 rocked the international sporting world. It turned him into a tragic figure, whose life had seemed fated. Always the stuff of movies, it’s now been chronicled by his brother, filmmaker Frans Cronje. Carte Blanche follows the drama : on and off screen.

Producer: Adri Kotze & Ashleigh Hamilton
Presenter: Bonita Gorrie-Nuttall

Washington Ballet

Carte Blanche introduces Andile Ndlovu, a fast-rising star with the Washington Ballet. His dancing teachers say his culture inspires his art - and his roots lie deep in the dust of a South African township.

Producer: Amalia Christoforou
Presenter: Devi Sankaree Govender

Caret Blanche is on Sundays on M-Net at 19h00.
