Isaac and HRG

Peter picks up Simone’s body and places her on Isaac’s bed. Isaac shoots at him again but Peter turns invisible and escapes.

At Primatech Paper, HRG tells his boss, Thompson, that he remembers nothing.
Watching from behind a mirror is Matt, who confirms that he’s telling the truth.

At the hotel where the Bennets are currently living following the incident at their house, Sandra tells HRG that before the Haitian erased his memory HRG had told her all about the company. She gives him a note written in his handwriting which states that Claire is safe and he mustn’t go looking for her.

Someone knocks on the door, and it turns out to be Candice Willmer, a woman who was with Matt while he was observing HRG. She tells HRG that the two of them have an assignment in New York regarding Isaac’s shooting of Simone.

Having received an anonymous tip-off, police arrive at Isaac’s apartment asking about Simone. To his astonishment, while the police are still standing at the doorway, Simone arrives.

Since Simone appears to not be dead, the police leave. Once they’re gone, HRG enters the apartment and “Simone” morphs into Candice. Isaac asks them to take him with them, but HRG replies that it’s not part of their assignment and they leave.

After they’ve gone, Isaac picks up a box which contains his drug paraphernalia. The next time we see him, his eyes have turned white and he’s painting, although it’s not clear whether he took any heroin or not.

When Isaac comes out of his trance, he discovers that he’s painted himself with his head cut open, like we saw him when Hiro visited the future. Considering that so far all of Isaac’s paintings have come true, that would suggest that he needn’t start saving for his pension.

HRG returns to his hotel and talks to Sandra. He tells her that they did to maintain the pretense so that Claire will stay safe.

The phone rings and Sandra answers it, saying that it’s probably the kennel where Mr Muggles is staying. She tells the person on the phone that “he” is going to be a problem, and then Thompson enters the room. Sandra morphs back into Candice, and HRG is more than a little screwed.

Nathan, Hiro and Jessica/Niki

Nathan is visited by the FBI. It turns out that he’s working with them to bring Linderman down, which explains his turnaround of going from wanting to bring Linderman down to accepting his money. They want him to wear a wire during an upcoming meeting with Linderman.

The FBI leave and Peter materialises. He tells Nathan about Simone’s death, and Nathan offers to sort things out by making an anonymous phone call to the police, which is presumably the one that brought the police to Isaac’s apartment.

In Las Vegas, Hiro tries to get into Linderman’s casino, but is denied entry after being flagged by security, presumably as a result of his massive winnings last time he was there. Nathan arrives while he’s sitting there, and helps him get past security by explaining that Hiro has a painting to deliver.

At their home, DL confronts Jessica about a photo of Nathan that he found on their bed. Jessica tells him that nothing’s going on, just that Linderman asked her to be a dealer at his casino.

Once DL has left, Jessica accuses a trapped-in-the-mirror Niki of leaving the photo there for DL to find. So it looks as though the situation has been reversed – Jessica is the dominant personality, but Niki is capable of emerging and Jessica has no control over when that happens.

Hiro delivers the painting to the curator, who is a little skeptical about the painting having been torn and repaired with Scotch tape. Hiro tells him that he needs a receipt for the delivery, and when the curator goes into another room, he uses the curator’s computer to find the sword.

A drawer containing the sword opens, and Hiro climbs up a stepladder to get to it. He is just about to take the sword when the curator returns and presses a panic button, summoning security.

The first security guard arrives and knocks the curator out. The guard is actually Ando, who has been following Hiro.

Ando tells Hiro to teleport out and let him deal with the other security guards, but Hiro decides that the two of them should teleport together. Despite having got the sword, Hiro’s still not completely in control of his powers as he ends up in New York, after the explosion which he will have failed to stop.

The two FBI agents Nathan is working with are in a hotel room, monitoring Nathan. Their surveillance comes to an end when Jessica enters and shoots them both.

Nathan goes to his hotel room where he encounters Niki, who has reclaimed her body for the moment. She tells him that the FBI agents are dead and that Linderman is going to offer Nathan a deal which he’ll have to take or else go on the run with his family.

Nathan says that there’s another option – he could kill Linderman. Niki gives him her gun and tells him to knock her out so that Jessica will realise she’s not in control anymore.

Nathan meets Linderman in the kitchen, where Linderman is doing some cooking. I guess all good villains have their eccentricities, and that Linderman doesn’t go in for cats (unless he likes to eat them).

Nathan takes out the gun and points it at Linderman. Linderman tells him that before Nathan pulls the trigger he needs to know that he knows that Nathan can fly, he knows about Peter, and he knows about Claire.

Linderman offers Nathan the chance not only to win the election, but also to obtain a place in the White House, and he implies that Nathan could be president. Nathan lowers the gun without firing.

Claire and the Haitian

The Haitian tells Claire that they must leave the country. He gives her a plane ticket and a passport with a fake name.

At the departure gate, Claire goes through but the Haitian can’t find his passport and boarding pass and is denied access. Once Claire is out of sight she throws a passport and boarding pass into a nearby bin, proving that she’s added pick-pocketing to her list of skills.

She arrives in New York and finds Peter’s apartment. Peter isn’t there, but his mother Angela is.

She invites Claire in, and Claire discovers that the Haitian is already there, having beaten her to the apartment. Angela tells Claire that she’s her grandmother and has been trying to protect her. So from it appearing that her real parents didn’t know she was alive, it looks like everyone else knows of Claire’s existence.

Mohinder and Sylar

Mohinder and Sylar discuss Chandra’s formula for a while. Mohinder makes some coffee and gives a cup to Sylar.

Sylar asks who from the list they’re going to call next. Mohinder replies that it’s not going to be anyone as he already has Sylar. Sylar collapses, knocked out by whatever Mohinder put in the coffee.

When Sylar wakes up, he’s tied up and being given curare intravenously in order to paralyse him so that he can’t use his powers. Mohinder explains that he came across a news article of Zane Taylor’s murder, and after seeing that he figured out that the man accompanying him was Sylar. He points a gun at Sylar’s head and seems on the verge of killing him, but instead ends up taking a sample of Sylar’s spinal fluid, something which he points out will hurt.

After some time, Mohinder completes his analysis of Sylar’s DNA. He picks up the gun, points it at Sylar’s head and pulls the trigger.

The bullet stops in mid-air. Sylar’s powers have now returned, and he uses them to free himself.

In the evening, Peter arrives at Mohinder’s apartment. He initially doesn’t find anyone, but discovers blood dripping from the ceiling. He looks up and finds Mohinder pinned there.

Sylar appears, and using his telekinesis pushes Peter up the wall. He starts his usual head slicing move, which has the additional effect of cutting off a lock of Peter’s hair.

>>So Peter's dead? <<

Not necessarily.  We only saw Sylar begin to cut his head open.  Peter could still get out of it if he is able to use his powers.

>>cos he blows up NYC doesnt he?<<

He thinks he does, but we don't know for certain that it's him.

>>Isaac dies too in future, damn!<<

It certainly looks that way.

>>How is this cheerleader going to save the world I wonder?<<

The message was "Save the cheerleader, save the world", so it doesn't mean that she saves the world, although that is certainly one possibility.

I dont know if i'm just slow or what, but I watch heroes everynight but have to wait for your recap everytime to piece things together...great read. I didn't quite get how come Sylar stopped the bullet, who did he get that power from?

Anyway, great recap, my week's highlight, always

>>I didn't quite get how come Sylar stopped the bullet, who did he get that power from?<<

He stopped in through his telekinesis (moving things with the power of the mind).  It was the first power he obtained and it's the one he uses most often.  Bullets travel quite quickly though, so whether it is actually possible for him to react in time to stop the bullet is another matter.

Great recap as always Cit, you're always putting the story into much better perspective, thanks!

Mmm, I wonder about the Haitian getting to the apartment ahead of Claire and her grandmother knows about her as well, so many mysteries one can't keep up but at least they solve the mysteries quickly and don't leave one dangling.
