Taylor makes a pact with her children and Stephanie to reunite their family. After hearing about Rick's demands, Ridge is convinced that Brooke is being manipulated.
Tuesday, 5 January 2010Episode 5431 Taylor and Stephanie convince Thomas and Steffy that their father's future with Brooke is a grim one. The perfect opportunity presents itself for Taylor to put her plan in motion.
Rick feels victorious when he witnesses that his strategy to drive Brooke and Ridge apart is working. During an emotional tantrum, Rick makes a discovery that he decides to keep to himself.
Wednesday, 6 January 2010Episode 5432 Ridge walks into what feels like an intervention from his children and mother, while Taylor offers to give him what Brooke can't.
After seeing Katie's insecurity in their relationship because of Brooke's connection to Jack, Nick adjusts his attitude and assures Katie that their love will endure.
Rick has a close-call when Brooke misses learning his secret by mere seconds. Brooke sets Rick straight about her future with Ridge.
Thursday, 7 January 2010Episode 5433 Ridge's overnight stay gives Taylor hope that he will realize what he once had. Stephanie promises Donna that Pam is no longer a problem, but she should be afraid of something else.
Rick stirs up trouble with his father when comparing the kind of relationships Eric has with Rick versus with Ridge. Taylor watches smugly as an infuriated Brooke learns where Ridge had spent his evening.
Friday, 8 January 2010Episode 5434 Stephanie interferes with Donna's unsuccessful attempt to compete for Eric's heart. Ridge finds himself in an uncomfortable situation as both Taylor and Brooke openly vie for his heart.
While attempting to get his mother to finally see Ridge for who he really is, Rick makes a promise to protect her. Ridge's query about the future of the company gets Eric's mind spinning after recalling his earlier conversation with Rick.
Monday, 11 January 2010Episode 5435 Ridge knows that Rick is involved when Eric declares that he will not be retiring any time soon. Stephanie and Taylor make a pact to stay vigilant in the fight for their families and the men they love.
Rick learns some damning information that he feels will assist him in seeking revenge against Ridge and is presented the perfect opportunity to lower the boom.
Tuesday, 12 January 2010Episode 5436 Taylor takes credit for the progress she has made with Ridge in such little time. Brooke and Ridge do not see eye-to-eye when delving into Rick's issues. Ridge makes a selfless offer to Brooke to speak with Rick about resolving their differences.
Eric tries to make sense of the information Rick had just given. While Rick is driving his point home with Eric, Ridge enters and immediately begins to protest, vowing to put a stop to Rick's defamation for good.
Wednesday, 13 January 2010Episode 5437 Rick is able to talk his way out of a sticky situation when Brooke finds him standing without assistance. Resentful towards Rick for using his condition to his advantage in order to play on Brooke and Eric's emotions, Ridge confronts his brother with heated words.
Taylor is relieved to learn about Rick's promotion and physical progress, but is disappointed that the result is Ridge moving back in with Brooke.
Thursday, 14 January 2010Episode 5438 Stephanie observes and selfishly enjoys the wedge building between Brooke and Ridge because of Rick. Eric is met with mixed opinions, mostly negative, from his family regarding the decision to make Rick the president of Forrester Creations.
Keeping up the pretense about his physical improvement, Rick begins to walk using crutches. Ridge voices his concern to Brooke about Rick using his condition to deceive her and turn her against him.
Friday, 15 January 2010Episode 5439 Eric and Brooke tape speeches to announce Rick's presidency to be broadcast on the company's website via podcast. To ensure that Ridge knew that she wasn't taking sides, Brooke's speech included kind words about both her son and her fiancé's contribution to the company.
After the taping, Rick alters the podcast before it is uploaded. Taylor makes herself available to Ridge for emotional support and views the podcast with him; that support is much-needed afterwards. Not knowing that her speech was altered, Brooke unknowingly arrives home to an outraged Ridge.
Monday, 18 January 2010Episode 5440 Rick is pleased when he learns, during his uncomfortable discussion with Taylor, about Ridge's reaction to the podcast. Fearing that their father/son relationship could be damaged forever, Stephanie suggests that Eric find a way make it up to Ridge for appointing Rick as president of the company.
Still not knowing why Ridge is so furious, Brooke is traumatized when Ridge walks out on her. Ridge's rage startles Stephanie when he lashes out at her about Brooke's comments about him in her speech.
Tuesday, 19 January 2010Episode 5441 Unable to be comforted by Rick after her fight with Ridge, Brooke is drawn to a location where she has fond memories. To blow off some steam, Ridge jumps on his motorcycle for a ride and finds himself at a place where recollections of happier times overcome him.
Katie's insecurity regarding her relationship with Nick grows when she notices his reaction to the news about Brooke and Ridge's relationship. Stephanie's relentless interrogation forces Rick to admit to his recent deceptions.
Wednesday, 20 January 2010Episode 5442 Katie can't help but feel concerned and a bit threatened that Brooke may be single again.
Stephanie must decide whether to go back on her word to Eric about not interfering with Brooke and Ridge's relationship or to join forces with Rick to keep her least-favourite couple apart.
Unable to deny that fate had brought them back together to the spot where they were first married, Brooke and Ridge vow to never part again.
Thursday, 21 January 2010Episode 5443 Brooke's verbal jabs and gloating about her and Ridge's relationship may be what it takes to help Stephanie make up her mind whether to keep Rick's secrets.
Donna is blindsided when Eric rehires Owen. Little do Donna and Owen know that Eric has an ulterior motive behind this decision. Thorne assists his father in his plan to test Donna's loyalty.
Friday, 22 January 2010Episode 5444 It becomes very apparent to his new team that Rick's new-found power has gone to his head; not everyone will stand for it. When Stephanie and Felicia learn of Owen being rehired, it takes everything out of Thorne not to reveal Eric's plan.
Ridge's reaction to his father's request for him to return to Forrester Creations is not what was expected. When Brooke reveals to Rick that Ridge is moving back in, Rick devises a new plan to protect his mother.
Monday, 25 January 2010Episode 5445 Brooke surprises Ridge with "dinner on her" to celebrate him moving back in. Later in the evening, Brooke assures Ridge that Rick should not be a problem anymore. Much to Donna's dismay, Eric assigns her to work on Owen's surf line project.
Eric hopes that Donna passes his test. Stephanie is floored when she notices the changes Rick has made in the Forrester Creations building. Rick's new plan to get back at Ridge, which involves Marcus and Steffy, is put into motion.
Tuesday, 26 January 2010Episode 5446 Brooke tries to talk Ridge into getting married in spite of not having the support of their families. Donna begins to pressure Eric into making a decision about their relationship, but is discouraged when she sees what she is up against.
Owen's pent-up frustration with Donna forces him to show her what she is missing by not being with him. Rick's desire for revenge becomes desperate when he sees that his recent plan against Ridge may not work the way he had hoped.
Wednesday, 27 January 2010Episode 5447 After Donna seemed to have passed his test, Eric decides to put his divorce on hold. Thorne makes a desperate plea to Eric to give Stephanie a second chance.
Rick's unconvincing excuse prompts Steffy to call him out on the true reason behind his actions. When Rick fesses up, Steffy agrees to be his friend, but with restrictions. Donna gets an unexpected visitor while awaiting Eric in the bathtub.
Later, Stephanie and Donna put Eric on the spot to make his decision about who he wants to be with. Both women feel as though they have gotten their answers.
Thursday, 28 January 2010Episode 5448 After a stroll down memory lane, Eric assures Donna that he is very close to making a decision. Owen stands his ground when Katie warns him not to continue with his pursuit of Donna.
What was supposed to be a friendly visit between Katie and Stephanie turns into a battle of the wills and they each find themselves being challenged by the other.
Upset that Eric is still stringing Stephanie along, Thorne makes one last plea to his father before presenting damning evidence against Donna.
Friday, 29 January 2010Episode 5449 Brooke and Ridge plan their dream wedding and extravagant rehearsal dinner. Rick continues his attempt to win Steffy over despite her lack of interest in him.
After Thorne shows his father the "truth" about Donna, Eric appears to make a final decision about his future.
Eric's decision leaves one woman confused and the other optimistic.
