Friday, 1 June Episode 156
Brendan’s furious when his sister doesn’t support him against Franz Basson. Franz is determined to find out who’s responsible for the fact that a young man is now paralysed, but will he bow to pressure from At Koster to drop the case?
Roelien defends herself when Chris confronts her about tormenting Vicky. How will she react when Chris suggests that Leandré work for him and Jennifer?
At suspects Roelien had something to do with the disappearance of Malan’s business plan. Will he allow Malan to stand on his own two feet by giving him shares in Night Shift? A worried Pippa secretly wonders whether Malan can make it.
Monday, 4 June Episode 157
Will Roelien change her attitude when Chris warns her she’s pushing people away from her? Toeks does her best to befriend Roelien, but Roelien’s friendly mood only lasts until she finds out that Malan is now part owner of the bar.
A cynical At lets slip that he doubts Malan will have any success with Night Shift.
Jennifer’s shocked when Franz hints that someone at Binneland accepted bribes and in so doing endangered people’s lives. Brendan is furious when his good name is brought into question. Franz is astonished to discover the extent to which someone’s been conniving at the hospital.
Kitte’s touched and proud when Malan proves he can take mature decisions.
Tuesday, 5 June Episode 158
When Brendan’s conscience starts eating at him, he confesses all to Franz. If he wants to trap the actual culprit, Franz will have to make a clever plan to trick a very wily character.
At wants to use Roelien as his eyes and ears at Binneland, even though she’s not physically at the hospital. However, sometimes a spy reveals more than he or she intended to… Even Malan and Pippa wonder why Toeks, of all people, is suddenly visiting Roelien on a regular basis.
When Chris and Jen decide to appoint Leandré as their receptionist, they realise they’ll have to lay down very strict rules.
When Roelien demands to meet Leandré, Chris is faced with a tough decision.
Wednesday, 6 June Episode 159
At is convinced he can buy Brendan’s loyalty, but if that plan fails there’s always Plan B, which includes a bit of blackmail. Will Brendan break down when he’s pushed too far?
Pippa is somewhat miffed that Malan’s spending so much of his time at Night Shift. Elise assures Pippa she has just the right medicine for someone who feels lonely.
Does Roelien believe Pippa, when her friend warns her that her jealousy could destroy her marriage? When Roelien suddenly becomes a little ray of sunshine, Chris gets even more suspicious.
Franz is taken by surprise when Brendan starts singing a different tune. Now he’ll have to pull out all the stops to trap the true mastermind behind the unethical goings-on at Binneland.
Thursday, 7 June Episode 160
Leandré’s settling in at work, but she’s very intrigued by the vibe between her mom and dad.
Brendan, who’s in a sticky situation, isn’t sure that it’s possible to do the right thing under all circumstances. Jennifer’s confused when she discovers she doesn’t know Brendan as well as she thought. When a huge sum of money suddenly appears in someone’s bank account, accusations start flying thick and fast. Brendan’s the one who puts two and two together and realises he’s trapped – as helpless as a fly in a spider’s web.
A caring Elise is prepared to do what it takes to “rescue” Malan and Pippa’s love-affair.
When Chris organises for Leandré to meet Roelien, the young girl’s extremely nervous about it.
Friday, 8 June Episode 161
Matron wonders why Brendan insists that she call her bank.
Jennifer is amazed when Leandré only has good things to say about Roelien. A highly delighted Roelien sees that there are definite benefits to being much nicer to both Chris and Leandré.
Kitte is not impressed with Malan’s idea to hold a fancy dress party at Night Shift.
Elise, who’s making plans for a ladies’ night out, convinces Pippa to join them.
At holds his pose when a panicky Brendan confronts him. When Franz, Gideon and Jennifer realise how the puzzle pieces of At’s sly plans fit together, they try to convince Brendan to help them expose the man, but will he agree? At a board meeting At ends up with egg on his face – which means Franz Basson is now at the top of his hate list.
Monday, 11 June Episode 162
Roelien is very aware of the fact that Leandré is Chris’s weak spot. Will she go so far as to turn the innocent girl against Chris? Why else would she suddenly want to invite Leandré to dinner?
Has Franz Basson just given a patient reason to sue Binneland? Gideon isn’t sure he can support his father’s latest decision, which may cost them dearly.
Kitte is horrified when he see that the wrong flyers have been distributed across Pretoria. Unfortunately, it’s too late to do anything about that now.
At realises he’s found a worthy opponent in Franz Basson, but he also believes that only he can rule this particular roost. So it seems it’s time to call in the help of Coen, his trusty sidekick, to perform a little task for him…
Tuesday, 12 June Episode 163
Leandré explains why she would like to befriend Roelien. Meanwhile Roelien cashes in on every chance she gets to play the loving stepmother. Jennifer is furious and hurt to hear that Leandré wants to spend the night at the Koster house, but she pretends she’s just hunky-dory with it.
Malan gets positive and negative feedback about his party plans, but At doesn’t break it to him gently – he brands Malan’s plans foolish in the extreme.
When a patient begs Franz for relief from fight epilepsy, he warns her that his hands are tied – his research is only in a very early stage. A journalist from The Telegraph manages to provoke Franz – again.
Wednesday, 13 June Episode 164
Franz is livid when the newspapers have a field day blackening his good name. What’s more, he’s labeled as someone who deceives patients with his untested research.
Gideon wonders what a smirking At is up to now.
At suspects Franz Basson must’ve had a good reason for paying his ex so much money in the divorce settlement – obviously he did it so she’d keep her mouth shut…
Elise’s idea of the perfect costume has Pippa in stitches.
Maybe Jennifer is right to question her daughter’s loyalty.
When At insists that the idiotic party be cancelled, Malan refuses outright.
Thursday, 14 June Episode 165
Malan is very nervous about the party – if it’s a flop, his dad will never trust him with anything again. When a jealous Roelien interferes with her brother’s plans, Malan suspects it’s his dad who’s undermining him. Luckily the ever-faithful Kitte comes to Malan’s rescue.
Franz and Brendan discover something which might incriminate At Koster. Will Ray Coombs buckle under pressure and join the Bassons in testifying against At? Will he still be safe after doing so?
Pippa has a hard time keeping a straight face when she sees Elise’s latest dilemma.
Friday, 15 June Episode 166
At subtly warns Roelien to stop undermining her brother, but he’s having a hard time digging up any dirt on Franz – apparently the man’s ex doesn’t have a bad word to say about him. When Ray Coombs threatens to betray him, At makes it clear what’ll happen if he dares breathe a word. Everyone is shocked when Ray Coombs finally points out the guilty party.
Just as Malan is ready to admit defeat, Kitte makes a surprising announcement. Malan is in seventh heaven, but not everyone is as happy with his latest successful venture.
Monday, 18 June Episode 167
Leandré defends the Kosters when Jennifer brands them a bunch of crooks.
Malan is thrilled – he’s more than proven himself to his father. Roelien is resentful of her brother’s success. Will she help At when he asks her to find out from Stefanie what Franz’s “problem” is? Maybe At’s ally, Jacques Malan from The Telegraph, can help to dig up skeletons from Franz’s closet.
Leandré confides something very personal to Roelien, who’s going out of her way to win the girl’s trust.
Toeks has won a make-over! Sadly her joy is short-lived because she gets the idea Kitte volunteered her for this exercise, because he thinks she’s slightly “butch”.
Tuesday, 19 June Episode 168
Jen is unimpressed with the fact that Leandré’s constantly with Roelien. She could not be more surprised when Chris spells out exactly why Leandré is so unhappy. It really pains Jennifer that her own child has been hiding so much from her.
At enjoys the fact that there’s yet another black mark against Franz Basson’s name. To add fuel to the fire he manipulates Yvonne, Franz’s ex, to reveal much more about her former husband than she had planned.
Kitte’s surprise for Toeks boomerangs completely. He is astonished when Matron tells him precisely what Toeks is looking for in a man.
Will Jacques Malan give in to a furious Franz’s demands?
Poor Stefanie receives upsetting news, which leaves Pippa with a huge dilemma – should she blurt out something which will only upset Stefanie even further?
Wednesday, 20 June Episode 169
Now that Toeks has left, a power struggle is developing at the coffee shop between Miems and Kitte. He feels really sorry for himself now that Toeks is giving him the cold shoulder, and won’t even speak to him over the phone. Malan urges Kitte to talk to Toeks face to face, but will Kitte’s pride allow him to do that? Malan’s brilliant plans for Kitte leave Pippa fuming – now she’s stuck with the guy.
News about Franz’s bi-polar disorder has spread like wildfire. Unfortunately he cannot take action against the paper, as they only reported the truth. Yvonne, Franz’s ex, is floored when she realises she’s said far too much, to the wrong people.
Thursday, 21 June Episode 170
Now that At has discovered Franz’s Achilles heel, it is only a question of time before he’s completely ruined the man’s reputation. Some of the nursing staff are already acting strange when they encounter Franz, who feels he’ll always have to defend himself to his colleagues. Even though they assure him of their support, he doubts whether that’ll make At Koster drop his smear campaign.
The love triangle between Jennifer, Chris and Roelien is making tempers flare, but is Leandré really just an innocent bystander in this whole saga?
Kitte is having a great old time hanging out with Pippa and Malan, but Malan is getting fed up with this unwelcome guest.
