In my struggle to find alternatainment (alternative entertainment), another addiction, and my commitment to my blog; I have to give you a head’s up of my thoughts and feelings about the happenings in the Biggie Motherland 2 house. The UN and Big Brother are business partners so the housemates are tasked to write and record a song in support of the cause this week.

The housemates have been getting guests the entire week… Well, Messages and visits –
-  Pancho Ndebele, UN Representative
-  Dr. Tajudeen Abdul-Raheem, Deputy Director, Africa, for the United Nations Millennium Campaign.
-  Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Singer and UN ambassador
-  DJ Oskido, Kalawee Jazmee Producer
-  DJ Christos, kalawa Jazmee Producer
-  Zonke, new Kalawa Jazmee female artist
- Theo, Mafikizolo singer
- JahSeed, previously known as AppleSeed of Bongo Maffin
-  Gaetano, Big Brother Africa 1 Housemate 
- Baaba Mal, Senegalese singer
-  Mama Rose, (Can’t rememeber what she does)
-  Bongiwe, (she accompanied Mama Rose)

Ofunneka as the HOH, welcomes the guests in the diary room. She gave almal a luke warm welcome – no enthusiasm at all, except Baaba Mal! She screamed and hung onto his neck; I am certain Baaba Mal is canceling his tours for 6 weeks from the whiplash he got from having Ofunneka hanging on his neck like that. She was too excited!! I was excited for her too; the craving of another person to chat to and force the couples to be apart is too much.

The UN representatives were there to educate us and the housemates about the plight of Africans. We are tired of poverty, bathong! Away with poverty!! It has become an excuse for everything; so let’s get rid of it! I have a suggestion; can we stop giving our money generating resources to first world countries and buying it from them. We need the money here in Africa!

Kalawa Jazmee crew came to record a song with the housemates- or assist. I am still not sure. Where they there to record a song with the housemates or help the housemates record a song? Ofunneka was a little excited when she went to fetch them; when the couples heard they were ecstatic until she said “It is Oskido’s group” WTF? The housemates all thought! WhoTF is that? It was a sad day for me, as I wished all this happened while the Untouchables were in the house! They would have known who the Kalawa Jazmee crew is!!

When Code saw Theo and Jahseed he was so so excited; he even asked if they remember him? Duh! He interviewed them in Malawi in 2001… Okay, Code! They had how many interviews with the journos in Malawi? How many years ago? They laughed it off, but I guess they were thinking the same thing I was thinking… Who is famous here? You or us? You can remember us, but us remember you? No chance! Ah!

Eish! RiTa can’t sing. CoMa has potential and Ofumama is, is, is… Haibo! I can’t find a word!! Rhythmless will do. She has no groove and no singing voice. Need I say more! Check the clips of the singing on the biggie web… Even Theo and Zonke could not help themselves laughing at RiTa! I hope DJ Christos and oskido got enough material to use; because I am not sold on the talent in there!

Gaetano gave a message to the housemates about HIV/AIDS. I was beyond myself at that point! Oh my gaad! That was the most entertaining moment since Lerato left! Sho! I wanted to ask so many questions “where is Abby?” Are you still together?” “If not, Are you still keeping in touch?” “What are you doing now?” Damn!! I was so happy to see him!

Oh! Let me compose myself again… Gaetano was a housemate in BBA1, he had a relationship with Abby (another housemate) in the house – even after they left the house. Africans were still sane then and got rid of them very early. I was like Shuga in those days – rooting for Gaetano and failed to see his girlfriend’s view. He did something that I will always like about him; his girlfriend was a faceless person out there. The viewers knew she was there but he did not make a big deal about her like Richard did with Ricki. Africans did not forgive him for sleeping with Abby though, so they took him out! If memory serves me well, they took Abby out early but he made it to the top 5, Africans got rid of him because he was not entertaining anymore but moping for Abby.
