I watched the live show yesterday (03/10/2007) during the afternoon (Don’t ask me how?) and I was amazed at the sms strip and the state of minds of the housemates. What is biggie’s state of mind – Why does he make us watch Code play the guitar for a pathetic 10 min when the other housemates are interacting in the house??

We already know that Ofunneka is gonna win this Big Brother season. It is right there! You can tell! It is so obvious I am disillusioned why I love the show? She has not even won HOH or anything but her cleanliness and chef skills have kept her in the game. 

She has become my acceptable one now in the house – she can never replace Meryl and Thando but I need options! (I have a blog that needs to be updated) She is quite clued up. She is playing the game. She did admit that she is doing what she does at home; clean!(Remix) She told biggie that the condom she hid, she will never tell or show to anyone – she wants them to talk! And the housemates are still speculating about the missing condom – who used it on who and how it happened. 

Ofunneka says Richard needs a companion because he has only been married 4 months! Puhlease! Oh! Such Rubbish! She reckons that RiTa will understand each other better when they leave the house. She is more open in the diary room and that is the only entertainment she has given me.

Richard is possessive! And needs to go to school to learn history – He says Lumumba died in the 90’s. He needs to let go of Tatiana a bit. Tatiana needs to read a book that a good friend of mine (Thanks, Dimago) once gave me “Men Who Hate Women And The Women Who Love Them” – That relationship is not healthy. When a man needs you to just be around him and no-one else; it is not right! He gets uncomfortable if Tatiana even talks to Ofu or Maureen; they kinda have to check if he is ok with it before they interact with her. If within that small space, with the limited amount of people he gets anxious – What will his reaction be in the real world? With millions of people and men lusting after her? Now I regret feeling sorry for her Tuesday night when Richard “broke up” with her.

Maureen has the personality of a “spatula”. I have to emphasise that this is a quote that I will use often. She was telling biggie in her diary session about how caged Tatiana and her are. She says Code doesn’t like it when Richard calls her “Chana”, and Richard doesn’t like it when Code calls Tatiana “Shorty”. She has to check with Richard before she even touches Tatiana. Code even "fights" her about encouraging Richard to call her "Chana". Will Maureen survive real life when they leave the house? Juna might kiss better than Maureen – uuurgh! Mauren can’t kiss! Since Maureen now wants to go to Malawi after the show, will Juna be waiting for Code and Maureen after this show?

Bertha is quite clued up too but hasn’t really shown us that. She was talking about the movie Lumumba – A DRC (then Zaire) history icon. She is still a hypocrite. She throws herself at Kwaku. Does she really have to? She has shown a different personality each week. Do we really know Bertha?

The viewers! Why go at each other’s countries like that? What makes a single individual in a 100 square meter house make people assume that is the way an entire nation is like? I look at biggie and know the peeps there are individuals – not the entire Tanzanian or Ugandan nation – Just an individual. Africa has a long way to go if we watch a show like Biggie and want to make the assumption that Richard is the entire country representation and all the people in Tanzania are like that! South Africans that support Lerato could not give a hoot that she is South African – I bet if Maureen had Lerato’s personality I would support her. We like the person as an individual – not as a nationality rep.

Seeing the individual as a national rep is “juvenile” – Africans Unite!
