The Shoe Thief! (Stolen Update)

With her bare hands, Jen dug a hole in the garden and buried her Housemates’ shoes in the wee hours of the morning.

In a bid to execute her secret mission fully, the Mozambican lass was the earliest bird and navigated like a true pro sliding from bed to bed in search of one of each of her Housemates‘ favourite shoes.

Once she was satisfied with her collection, she wrapped them up and bundled them in a kanga then into a satchel. Her first stop was the loo, perhaps to relieve herself of the stress, then she was off to find her ideal spot.

Maneuvering from the lounge to the kitchen then to the garden; she found the right spot on the lawn, in the corner amidst Biggie’s plants.

Carrying her kanga and satchel, she rushed back into the House to destroy all the evidence.

She washed her hands thoroughly in the bathroom lest she be accused of being the thief once the Housemates start the inevitable one-shoe search.

Yacob and Munya's Heart to Heart

Busying themselves with their challenging weekly Task, Yacob, Munya and Code had some time to catch up and bond.

Code was comforting Munya, he said to Munya that he thinks if one survives two Evictions, then it is a good indicator of where one stands in terms of popularity. Munya also mentioned with a little shock and disbelief in his voice that Tatiana was extremely popular during her season, yet she didn't make it when she was put up against him. They all soberly agreed that things have changed since they were all previously on Big Brother.

Yacob said a little self consciously that he has a "hardcore fan base" so he feels that the fans are not the challenge. The real challenge for Yacob is to come back in to the House and "earn your keep". He said that he feels that if a Housemate has the ability to survive a Nomination, then they have "earned their keep among the All Stars".

REACTION - All depends who youare up against. Pathetic, if you were up against Crazeeeee - shem, you would be in the BURN right now.

Got this from BB website.

The main suspects for the shoe thief are DHC and/or Crayzee.

And Code is walking around the house barefoot. Meaning he doesnt have a lot of shoes, maybe he brought one pair of shoes lol

Munya is wearing one shoe on the other foot and a sandal on the other.

Stolen update

Confusion and finger-pointing reigned in the House when the Housemates woke up to a one-shoe day.

Uti said whoever had hidden their shoes wanted it to look like it was done by him and Mwisho.

What the Housemates didn’t know was that it was actually Jen who hid their shoes early in the morning in fulfillment of her ‘pinky-promise’ to Big Brother that she would execute this secret mission within 24 hours.

Yacob did not hesitate to suspect Uti and Kaone for the sudden disappearing of one every Housemate’s favourite shoes.

Uti was the most annoyed by this antic and cursed all over the House saying “Whoever did this is an idiot and should get evicted by next week.
Abeg! I’m not even in the mood for anyone to come ask me this morning,” he warned. However, upon hearing that Yacob thought he was responsible for it, he charged at him.

“It was Kaone or you, that’s my theory. The two of you came upstairs to get cigarettes,” Yacob said in Uti’s face fuelling his rage even further.
Uti went straight to his confidante, Sheila to tell on Yacob but she just told him to ignore it.

The other Housemates just were equally worried but did not want to take it to heart; actually, Code just went about his business barefooted. Jen, the culprit was the least suspected.

Jen did a great job. She deserves her special reward.

I just saw her when I was about to take a bath this morning, very energetic, I must say.
Mdasheshe and playmate must be swearing like lunatics for their shoes/ sandals.

NoPersonality must also start accussing people or she will also be suspected if she is too excited... she must accuse Barney... and let's see Barney's reall character

If housemates should be evicted for Ntsoaki's secret tasks, then he (DHC) should be the first to vamoos.
Uti has temper, tjo. His nose must be between his eyes right now.

Hahahahha, TS is gonna get it very soon I'm sure. I know this is a stereotype (don't take offense people) but all coloured aka afrikaans speaking people I know can swear like its the most natural thing to do, no cringes nothing - just drop them!!! Ai

Yeah, Koti did great with this one, people were so tired no one saw or heard her snooping around!!!

Makoti did a great job and BIG UP to her. Is it me or the Housemates teetering on disaster? Why do they seem behind so much? Smell and his team are waaaay ahead. Maybe they will pull thru eventually... dunno

I was watching the barn people last nite, and they were hard at work and working soo well together. It was interesting to watch them

Diary sessions from BB website

Code had this to say today: There's positive energy in the house; they are working together and have hope the presentation will go well tonight; they are not nervous about the deadline coz they will be able to finish in time; that they woke this morning and each of them couldn't find one of their shoes, he doesn't know whether its a pranks but no one is admitting to the act; he's noticed Mwisho works better alone since he's been creative since him (Mwisho) and Uti completed the punishment.

Kaone said the day is nice; he's happy that everybody has concentrated today; that everyone is on point, he just wishes they had more time; K1 further said he's always been good, he's doing what he has to do; all their minds are on the task now so they are not paying much attention to what's happening on the side; he also said his friend Uti is doing less of talking today and is more involved in the task which is a good thing; that everybody seems to be in good health and they are trying to get along with the task.

Munya told BB that he's fine, that Biggie played a song from Zimbabwe which almost brought him to tears, that it was a nice song though he doesn't know the artist; he said today is a good day, the weather is fine, they are working hard coz they really want to win the task; he's confident they'll meet the deadline; otherwise there's nothing new in the house.

Why Rush into Marriage?

While building their model of the ideal Big Brother House, some conversations leaned more towards building families with the Housemates agreeing that there is no rush to get married.

Uti, Jen and Paloma agreed that there was no need to rush into marriage in your 20s. “If you want to have 15 kids, then you can marry early, but if you want to have the regular three kids there’s no rush,” Uti said.

He added that people have the rest of their lives to be married. Jen said in her country people get married very early.

“All my friends in Mozambique are married with kids. If you’re 25, you’re old,” she explained. Paloma and Uti agreed with her saying that the same is true in their countries as well.

Munya on the other hand just wanted to know if that applies to both guys and girls...

Paloma said that what she had noticed was that the people that get married early get divorced, sleep around or are doing very well because they also finished studying and got good jobs early.

REACTION - Pity Playmate and Lolo were not part of this convo. Meme J and WSG - what is Namibia's take on this?

Uti: Said he's ok; that his fellow housemates woke up this morning with one of their slippers missing so he was the first suspect since his pair was there; he's suspecting Munya, Yacob & Sheila; Uti told BB that he doesn't miss his other half (Mwisho) at all coz they nagged each other too much so he's happy that he finally got a breather; He's trying enjoy himself as much as possible in the house; he's scared of the task but they are trying their best.

Meryl: Said she's tired but all is good; they are working against time as far as the task is concerned but so far so good; she's hoping for the best and thinks they'll meet the deadline coz they're are left with just a few areas and they're focused; she's still not talking to Yacob; Munya tried to explain himself yesterday but she's not bothered; she thinks they're all fine health-wise and everything is going well.

Paloma: Told Biggie that nothing much is new, they are just getting on with the task; she misses home, her mom, her kid sister; she hopes they win the 100% wager; that yesterday she asked Uti whether he was a bully and he said he's not...that he's just using it as a defensive mechanism; Paloma added that he (Uti) has to learn his limits with people; that she wasn't convinced by what Uti said but atleast she told him about it; on the task, she said she won't blame anyone if they lose the wager, maybe herself for not participating fully, otherwise there's no one to blame.

PS: I love Ofuneka you guys, she's mature, she's a woman, and in control. Pity she's leaving later...

Eish, FK the hardliner:-) Well mina I was an UNTOUCHABLE fan - scratch that, supporter to their painful demise but in all honesty,Ms finger was a brainy harworker shem. When she has a task she puts her head down. She damn well helped them a mighty lot in the BURN, otherwise poor Smelly wud have had to figure it out mainly on his own.

Ofunneka's Conclusion (stolen from BB)

Big Brother told Ofunneka that she would be leaving in a few hours. Before that information, she gave Big Brother the low down on the Barn and Barnmates:

On the Task:

She said she was certain that they would meet the deadline “Even if we have to chew coffee, we will do it,” she said later correcting herself that “They will do it.” She said she was hoping for Sammi’s quick recovery because the team was affected by his absence but she had faith.

Lerato:

“Still has her lethal tongue but has really matured.” She added that her body language speaks volumes and lets her down at times but she got along well with her now than she did in Big Brother 2. She added that perhaps it was because she was in the barn more as an observer. She added that she had a bubbly personality.

Tatiana:

“There are moments when she withdraws and drifts away for a few minutes, maybe it’s because she is not in control” she said. She added that perhaps it was because she thought she’d gotten over the hurdle of the people she had helped get evicted from the House only to find them waiting for her in the Barn. “I’m here now and I tell her I’m here to play the game with her so, she’s edgy.” She added that she had noticed that this affects her and she thinks of home and the life she left behind otherwise she was still her usual bubbly self.

Hannington:

She said she didn't really think she'd connect with him but she found out that he was actually a nice guys and she enjoyed his company.

The Barn:

It’s calmer and more peaceful than the House. It’s like a retreat home.

Leaving the Barn:

“It would be sad, very very sad to leave because I have met Sammi and Hannington and reconnected with Tatiana and Lerato at another level. It’s a lovely holiday and wonderful experience.”

Mwisho said he's hungry but he's good; thinks they're doing their best with the task so he's kind of optimistic about the results; that its good him & Uti finally got separated coz each of them can now do whatever they want & when they want freely; he feels whatever result they'll get from the task will be the best effort they would have put in.

Jen was congratulated by Biggie for accomplishing her secret task so diligently and rewarded her with a pair of new slippers; Biggie instructed her not to talk about the secret task and also not to unhide the shoes, that the housemates should find them for themselves; After thanking BB, she said the task is hard but she hopes they win; that some people like Sheila are too bossy; they don't give other people the opportunity to express themselves as much as they could; its a task and they have to share ideas so there's no need for bossiness; that she hasn't confronted Sheila coz she's in another group, they just had a little argument over glue but its ok. On the new slippers she said she'll tell fellow housemates that she was requesting for them in her diaries and so Biggie has delivered them.

@mjj: I just heard them asking Ntsoaki to give them glue. So Im not sure if they have already presented their task. I'm sad yazi, now Sibiya wants to leave the Burn. Ntsoaki, just do something. The cow is not giving enough milk, Sibiya's tummy says it all. Heh heh heh. What is getting Sibiya sick? Maybe he ate the cows food hence him not feeling well

The barn task is coming together nicely! Their work looks so good, colours are bright and nicely co-ordinated. I can't wait to see the final product. As for the housemates......the gals helped them loose! The kitchen looked so horrible! Even the bedroom looked better! The kitchen colours, the cupboards and the fridge that can change colour? Tjo

Lolo, Hennie n Tarti are still hard at work. Sibiya's been lying on the couch the whole nite...he's not helping with the work. It's amazing how the tension between Lolo and Tarti fizzled out. I even saw them giving each other 'hi fives' while commenting on the housemates' presentation.

But the garden was also very squashed, the specs were off, and the toilet in the bedroom was virtually within touching reach of a bed, etc, etc!! Some nice ideas overall, but not sufficiently well executed. I think they wasted a lot of time at the beginning ... put in a good spurt at the end, but eish, not enough ...
