Ok let us be honest here, Minenhle "Minnie Intombi yomZulu" Dlamini can't act, yesterday she was worse during that scene with Ajax at Siqalo. It was horrible. She kept on smiling while shouting at Ajax that was just plain horrible acting. I'm sure anyone who was watching Generations could see that. I think having to watch such bad acting is insulting to the viewer. To me she was never good starting from that kissing scene with Ajax at Siqalo. Even that cheesa mpama scene with Ajax, she really slapped the guy shame. I'm sure she left his cheek itching. I thought there's a way in which actors should do those kind of scenes so that the other actor doesn't get hurt.

Minnie is just not a natural actress. She needs some more training if she is really serious about acting. I know Generation was maybe her first acting gig and she didn't crack it. Yes she is a beautiful young girl and we love watching her on TV but for now I think she should stick with her presenting while she's sharpening her acting skills in Drama school.

We know she did a Drama course at UCT and she was still a first year she had a lot to learn about acting. I wonder how she got to act on Generations in the first place. I read an article on Sowetan about how she received calls from friends and family after that kissing scene with Ajax. I thought somewhere in the article they were going to reveal how she got the acting gig but they didn't.

So now I'm wondering did LIVE producers negotiate with Generations producers to give her a stint in Generations to show us that LIVE opens doors. Because she got the Generations gig a few weeks after she was announced LIVE presenter. I think if that’s the case they should have arranged some acting lessons before they sent her to Generations. We know LIVE opens doors we have seen it with Bonang and Phila so they don't they have to prove anything because proof is there we can see it.

I think Generations should take their soapie serious as the number one soapie in Africa and stop hiring unskilled actors even if it is just a supporting role. We shouldn’t suffer bad acting, first it was Sarah who only cries these days, and then it was Patricia after her it was the girl who drugged Paul now it’s Minnie. What happened to holding auditions and people standing in the line to audition for roles? They should leave bad acting to eKasie Stories. I think if Generations hired Khanya Mkangisa for that Miranda role she would have done it more convincingly.

I have read the first line only and i agree!!!....It was so painfull to watch her. Gen is not perfect we have been over that many a times. BUT her acting last night made generations look like serious gimmicks....kids play, absolute utter terrible acting *in Simon Cowel's swagg and english accent*

Awesum analysis Cheesa. Whatever happened there, they missed the "acting classes" part.

Even that cheesa mpama scene with Ajax, she really slapped the guy shame I'm sure she left his cheek itching,lol..yaa she is that bad at acting.

They should leave bad acting to eKasie Stories....i never get offended by soapies...but last night i may have been offended a bit. I will move on swiftly, but gratefull for this article were i was able to point out my dissapointment, echoing others'.

|'m not really in support of this article, its contents and the angle the writer has taken in expressing her views regarding Minnie and her Miranda.

For that reason, I will not comment on the things said in there, apart from the screaming which was just a bit Nigerian movie for me.... yhooo... that was too much. From the beginning nje.. she has been very loud... even when Ajax was pushing her out the door when they saw Zamani... intombiyomzulu was screaming to the top of her voice. She real makes it seem like a Nigerian movie.

Anyway, that's all that I can say.. And as for saying she's a baaaad baaad baaad actress she shouldnt be given a chance, I dont know. Connie Masilo was a very okay actress.. she developed through the years and became the respectable Connie Ferguson that we have just bid farewell to.

I cant comment much on the processes that are undertaken to determine which person should take small roles on Generation. Maybe appearing on Generubbish was part of Minnie's prize for winning the Live presenting gig... maybe..

Anyway...

He said... when a woman is beautiful.. there's a very thin line between looking sexy and looking trashy.. and he said that thin line is mostly defined by whats revealed. He said a sexy woman reveals only one part that she wants to attract attention to. When you reveal the boobs, no thighs.. if its the thighs, then no boobies. If both, the look is trashy.

And I totally agreed.

And thats mostly how the dress the minnie one. Shem, poor thing.

There was a day when she was wearing something just totally short.. and they showed the thighs under the table... and she was sitting in a 'four'.. Oh Gaaaawd.. that was a horrible scene. You know.. a woman is not supposed to show tendons and hamstrings in public... yhu!

So yha, shem.. ubaba will grow. The industry still needs to hit her a little bit and she will learn to be humble and find direction, and learn to really draw attention to the beautiful things about her, like her voice... and not try and enhance other things that aren't so good. That's how we grow.

Generations has a huge following and deos't need amaures for any ratings, the grl sucks period. If she needs a chance Zone 14 can sure use her Drama theory acting. I had to swithc to Amazing Race as Gen is so boring lately.

I know she is new but I don't think she should have started on Generations. A soapie that has so much viewing, becasue now it has exposed her so not good acting. Al least if she was on Rhythm City it would have been fine not that I am looking down to Rhythm City.

i never get offended by soapies...but last night i may have been offended a bit. Me too Green Arrow. It was just painfull to watch it was like I'm watching a school play.

They are busy encouraging people to go study for acting while they know they can just pick people to come and act in their soapies. It is really unfair shem.

I wouldn't agree with him because that's his personal opinion shem. Yesterday I bought Move! magazine because Sophie Ndaba was talking about her new man and I loved her mini dress, it wasn't that minni minni but I loved the pictures. She looked sexy and her well-trimmed body is pleassing, If I was that 28-year old guy, I was also gonna touch her in some places as per the Sunday Sun pictures.

But is it vital what she reveals? I think not.

When a woman is wearing a mini it must tell you something, what she reveals is suggestive and what she conceal is vital. Wouldn’t you agree?

True my chom but you got to know that SABC 1 is pushing for its own stars to be in our faces all the time. They wanna narture them. Akere Phila is still with SABC 1 on that Lelo and Ntando twin thingie. It's also about pulling in viewers. Getting people to watch Minnie act gives SABC 1 pure satisfaction lol.

lol makisto..you are taking the cest la vie attitude on what the sabc 1 is doing. Concidering that nommater how we complain about their tendency to "promote their own", they wont change it....unless viewers stop watching (which wont happen)..concidering that, i guess i understand coz whats the point of complaining if nothing comes out of it?...BUT God forbid we all be that discouraged. I feel Cheesa's argument and i have great empathy for the trully talented actors and actresses who are overlooked with their skills,qualifications and what nots for "sabc's people". Corruption will never be uprooted in this country because in all sectors it because it is practiced with cold faces and everyone arround is apathetic about it.

shem ...do yall still remember Karabo's first episode on Gen(think it was shown early this year)...the woman couldnt act to save her life maara look how she had improved, even becoming one of Mzanzi's top actresses. So maybe naye uMinza usezokhula , just need to take more dgrama lessons.Non the less, Gen made a huge blunder by letting her play that part even if they did just do it for the sake of her being the latest "it" thing...did them more harm then good . I like this kid though and i hope the attitude rumours about her arent true though.

guys lets give the girl a break pls? who else can do her better than herslf? we couldn't have made it all and i believe the cast only needed one person and she made it. so watz up with all this bitterness? everyone has a starting point xpeclly withh TV it isnot as easy as it seems. most of you hattas cn't last for weven 5 minutes on the cameras.
