Disclaimer: If there’s any party you don’t want miss, it's the Channel O Awards after party. So off we went to the Walter Sisulu Centre in the heart of Soweto where all African stars came out to play. Like last year, I expected the show to be celeb-infested, but it seemed a lot of them gave the show a miss.
The red carpet was packed but spotting a familiar face was a bit of a hardship and when I did it became quite a mission to steal some snaps due to a high number of media reps who were hovering around the celebs.
Hosted by local rapper AKA and Nigerian rapper Naeto C, the show started with fireworks and loud blasts which got every ear attentive and every eye wide open.
Channel O organizers know just how to put on a good party. Non-stop banging music, free flowing bar with unrestricted liquids and good food made this the party of the year. Three jam-packed dance floors with one main DJ added to the mix, I mean what more could one ever ask for?
