I refuse to blog about anything I don’t like or believe in. If you and thousands of my friends on Blogcatalog , Plaxo, LinkedIn, MySpace, Twitter and Facebook have been following my posts on our blogger site, then you know I have edged every one of my readers to watch this exciting series.

Yesterday on my entry I said: “I believe it to be one of those things you need to watch even if you don’t like Oprah. Just look at it as a campaign to get the information that you need to plan your life as best as you can.”  But if you like Oprah, you are sure going to have a ball. It's a great way to start the year. I used to be an Oprah addict in the late 90's. Her shows then ,were amazing. I still like Oprah and continue watch from loyalty but not as much as before. This series thou speaks to me in a big way.

"You don’t have the right to tell other people what to do, if you are not going to do it your self." Oprah.

Today (Monday the 5th of January) is the premier of Oprah’s Best Life Series which kicks off the year in what I consider to be a very necessary program. However, I think the series itself is a show, but that’s for later.

“How did I let this happen again?” In the story, Oprah says, “I’m mad at myself. I’m embarrassed. I can’t believe that after all these years, I’m still talking about my weight.” She adds, “When it comes to maintaining my health, I didn’t just fall off the wagon. I let the wagon fall on me.”

The Revelations.....Oprah shares her thoughts and this is the start of this great series.

Although she has a worldwide platform to address issues, she could have went on with her life and sort help from Bob Green and came back with a new waist size. I think turning her personal crisis into a series which offers more than just weight solution but cover some of the key aspects which force people off the bandwagon... was a cool idea. She appears on the January cover of O, The Oprah Magazine at her current weight juxtaposed next to an image of her thinner self along with the cover line. I prefer the US version of the magazine.

She uses her most powerful media platforms including O, The Oprah Magazine, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah.com and Oprah & Friends Radio to present exclusive "Best Life Series" content designed to help start the new year with a renewed commitment to health, wellness, financial stability, spiritual insight and sexual awakening. I strongly believe that weight is a result of a lot of issues, not just food, so her approach is great since it covers the key aspects which make people loose control.

I have been promoting the series so much on my blogger site (http://thetvobserver.blogspot.com/) that when you search "Best Life Series" on Goggle. The TV Observer is listed as the third result, and when you search Oprah Best Life Series, we are listed as the fourth result. That makes us smile a little. I make it a point never to blog about things I don’t believe in or find remotely useful to readers. This is a great concept and has a lot of information if you approach it right. A special blog will be published on the 7th of January 2009 on the subject. It The TV Observer special observations on the series.

I can't wait for Friday's show it is going to be fun watching this episode. Maybe I should organize a "viewing party". Will see if any of my friends are busy with meetings or not. Good sex is a vital part of anyone's life, but listening to Oprah dish tips on the subject might be too traumatic...she like a mother figure.

On the 7th January 2009,  The TV Observer presents a special blog on Oprah WInfrey's  “Best Life Series”.

Please note that SABC3 may or may not be airing this new season. So it is very possible that South African fans will not see this series until 2020. You can check oprah.com for updates throughout the week, (yes I know the new design makes it very difficult to find stuff but we just need to accept it and move on). And join the oniine classes. Depending on your time zone you will have to set your watch to wake you up next week for the classes. Talk about commitment.  Anyway enjoy.

US and Canada readers you are just hours away from the big premier.
