TheTVObserver: Memorable Moments #2

We return with an all new line-up of 5 memorable moments. The second edition has more funny videos than dramatic stuff. I decided to compile the ones that made me laugh like a crazy person. We do have one dramatic video, for those who prefer drama than laughter. Kicking off from Moment #5 we present....

This is from a movie Kingdom Come and it features LL Cool J amongst other leading black film and tv stars, but these two actors provide the most memorable moment. In fact I have a few moments from this movie but this one takes the cake. What got me the most was the lyrics to the song: “Momma don’t cry, your baby is growing up”, Hip Hop then switch “Let it be, dear lord” the gospel lyrics.

Oh Ricki, how I miss your eccentric show. The Ricki Lake show offered etv's daytime lineup more excitement than we have currently. Daytime television hasn’t been the same since the departure of Lake from our plasma’s. In this scene, Ricki looks back at some of her memorale episodes and in one particular episode she had a woman who told of a guy she fell in love with him when she was 14 years and 20 years later she still has feelings for what she calls “the Man of her life”. Hilarious. Talk about public humiliation

"Remember Home" is a show on SABC1. When I was told of this scene I thought, man I am going to be bored, but I ended up enjoying it. This is a sad moment but it really got me going. Only if local drama had this ZING to it. Enjoy

We need some scenes like these on local dramatic shows. Producers must get real and provide some entertainment.

A German version Verimark goes horribly bad....imagine watching this with your child. Even better, imagine it playing during your visit by church ladies for tea. You have to see this to believe it

I guess that hand covered everything. Well at least you tried doing something.

###

When I saw this scene I was laughing so loud, I got told to shut up! The idea is simple, you have the power to make people tell you the truth and all it takes is a simple question and they will reveal their deepest and most honest opinions. To say more is to spoil it….enjoy.

What would you do if you suddenly had the power to make people tell the truth?

I wonder what questions I would ask Zuma!

I would immediately ask for an interview with De Klerk – did you really want to release Mandela?, Oprah – What’s the deal with working on your show and all this secrecy documents we have to sign. Not to mention being forbidden to write about anything that goes on at Harpo. So Big O, please share.

Tom Cruise – Are you really straight?, Mugabe – Were would you like to live, London or Washington?; Noeleen – You know that you are a bad talk show host right?; Dr. Phil – is your family that perfect?; George Bush – Would you like to be President again?;

Helen Zille – Was that toll gate or border idea to keep people from Soweto out of Cape Town? And is DA a party or just the National Party reformed? and lastly Winnie Mandela – What would you would like to do Graca Machel?
