With the award season just around the corner and producers as well as networks trying to come up with shows to keep viewers glued to their networks. TheTVObserver presents a list of shows we believe may have a shot at staying on. Who are we kidding Hollywood is like a butcher with a very sharp knife, always ready to cut someone or something. But some of these shows are so cool they might just find their way into your heart.

We kick of with….

#1. Dollhouse

About The Show

First on my list is DollHouse from Fox. The Dollhouse is a very secret, and very illegal, place where wishes come true. Clients with the right connections and enough money can hire "Actives", people who have been programmed to perfectly fulfill the needs, and desires of their clients. The Actives are people who have chosen, for their own reasons, to surrender their bodies and minds for a five-year stay in the Dollhouse. Now they can be imprinted with any personality, skill, or even muscle memory. They can be the perfect companion, lover, spy, assassin; and when the job is done they forget everything.

Dollhouse Premieres on: FOX at Friday the 13th at 9:00 PM
Running Time: 60 min

# 2. Castle

About The Show

Meet Richard Castle: he's a successful murder-mystery writer who has just killed off his main character. However, it seems one of his fans liked his books just a bit too much when a copycat murderer starts running around killing people as described in Castle's books.

Castle Premieres on: ABC at Monday, March 9, 2009 at 10:00 PM
Running Time: 60 min

#3. Cupid

About The Show

ABC Studios and Sony Television team up with Rob Thomas to bring back his 1998 series about a man who believes he is Cupid, who has been sent to earth by Zeus to help 100 couples get together as punishment for his arrogance-without any magic. Bobby Cannavale takes over the lead role created by Jeremy Piven in the 1998 series.

I think Bobby is a great actor and on the trailer it look good. Normally Hollywood would go with a pretty boy type, whereas I think Bobby is the guys guy type which turns out well for the show. I hope.

Cupid Premieres on: ABC at Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 10:00 PM
Running Time: 60 min

#4. Lie To Me

About The Show

Inspired by a real-life behavioral scientist, this FOX drama tells the tale of a deception expert who helps uncover the truth for the FBI, local police, law firms, corporations, and individuals. Dr. Cal Lightman and his team are effectively human polygraph machines, and no truth can be concealed from them. The Lightman Group is headed by Dr. Cal Lightman and his partner Dr. Gillian...

I should admit that I find this show very exciting and I am looking forward to the premier. Most people lie so much in their lives that it’s sick.

Premieres on : FOX at Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 9:00 PM
Running Time: 60 min

#5. Kings

About The Show

Inspired by the biblical story of King David, this contemporary soap is about a typical small town guy who becomes involved with high society and politics and rises to the top against all odds. Kings is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment in association with Universal Media Studios and distributed by the NBC Television Network. The series has been given a 13 episode initial order.
I for one believe strongly that all human beings are connected. That is why the person whom you hate the most holds more to teach you… about yourself than the person you like the most. Your frustration and irritation is nature way to get you deal with your deepest issues. Mostly you would prefer to fight or name calling instead of just facing what might be causing you to be so upset.

Premieres on: NBC at Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 10:00 PM
Running Time: 60 min

#6. Trust Me

About The Show
Mason McGuire (McCormack) and Conner (Cavanagh) are two very different but equally close leaders of the pack in their cutting edge Chicago advertising agency. When Mason is promoted over Conner, the two must learn to navigate their new paths while their personal and professional relationships are tested.

This looks amazing and I really like the promo. I wonder who is going to secure the rights in South Africa first…..Wink Wink! Nudge Nudge....

Premieres on: TNT at Monday, January 26, 2009 at 10:00 PM
Running Time: 60 min

The following shows "Lie To Me", "Kings" and "Cupid",  have made the list as programs we want to see on small screen, past episode 13.
