There I was catching up on daytime television when I noticed a segment on Judge Hatchet where she presided over a case about a Man of God who robbed two ladies in one of his Disney Land trip packages. By the way, they need to put together a show on our own family courts. i think we would laugh to no end and back!
The show inspired this blog and within I will have pictures of the segment.
Although the topic was serious in that they are in court and all. What got my observing mind going was how bigger the issue was.
We have what I consider to a growing number of reports by church members, who talk amongst themselves and eventual the information gets around. Yet no one would dare confront the priest, instead they will opt to leave the church even if the monster is still preying on other people behind the pulpit.
These reverends are also going all out to master the art of doing bad things, under the cloud of church and religion.
What is happening with the laws which govern ordination and training of such individuals as it seems the world is being bombarded by thieves, retired sales reps, pedophiles, murderers, failed businessmen and rapists disguised as Men of God. As they realize that the church is the new corporation.
Don’t get me wrong, I admire churches such as the Latter Saints as having established a system within their organization which finances their growth and temple building. The same applies to IPCC amongst others. The same cannot be said about a lot of things from such groups. The difference is that those in charge of such churches are involved in their mission (shady or not) but lately you have this BEE type Pastor’s who are busy giving sermons on how important it is for you to give…. to them......sorry I meant thier church! Whilst they go off to do mining deals in their private lives. Nothing is wrong with that… but you can’t treat your congregation as a business transaction.
There is nothing wrong in paying tithes or giving to your church, but why would you pay tithes to a church that is formed with the purpose of bankrupting you as member. If I have three children and a bond including debts and I can’t make my 10% contribution does it mean I have sinned? They would say no but their hearts and look will say more about how bad of a member you are. Shouldn’t your contribution be based on your faith not on how financially sound you are. Then what about those people who are unemployed. Are they then doomed?
Why should we buy our way to heaven? Or we are busy booking no-return first class tickets to hell from blindfaith.com
I was invited to this church and all of a sudden the Pastor called for time for giving and ushers went round with these silver tins which are larger than office bins and everyone began to give. The Pastor went as far as to state that no coins are allowed just paper money, R10 being the minimum. Everyone around me gave R100 notes, so I joined the club. After all its just R100. After two hours the same thing happened again.
When tin came to me for the second time.., I told the usher I have given as much as I can and I am guest. I could not understand why I should give twice. He said you should give more for your salvation. I walked out! I have a limit and religious mind games is my ultimate and I have no tolerance for it. Period! I was not prepared to get into a religious argument with an usher in a church. All I could think of was Matthew 21:12 and how we can't be selling salvation or anything relating to faith and God like the doves in the verse.
Shouldn’t my faith be more important that my wallet or hand bag?
On the other hand, everyone is becoming a pastor of something or splitting from their church to form a reformed this or new salvation that. Yes, giving your life to God is important but you don’t have to be a star in church to proof that you have truly given your life to the creator. I don’t mean to suggest that all those, you know who they are, who suddenly report their entry into the most powerful of jobs, are in any way twisted and have bad intentions.
In my faith you are trained for a minimum of four years to begin your work as what you all call a "Pastor". It is one of the most demanding processes and requires unbelievable dedication and celibacy. Very few even attempt to freely embark on that journey.
This reminds of a story I found when researching this blog. This person who will remain anonymous, tells me that she was a member of one of this high-flying churches when all of a sudden she confided in her Pastor regarding a personal problem relating to the excessive sexual needs of her husband when all of a sudden the Pastor suggested they pray about it together at that point! You would think this was all going well. So did she… until the Pastor said,
“The Lord wants you and I to sleep together in order to cure your situation” HELLO!
May the Lord in heaven help the poor souls, running around with complete blinds on the truth and being sucked in by shady people called Reverends.Needless to say she ran out of that meeting straight home. The problem is that she could not tell her husband what happened due to the sensitivity of the matter and the fear that the man of the house might be very angry. Meanwhile the good Reverend decided to get ride of any possible problem by having his own meeting with the husband unbeknownst to the wife.
The Reverent “Mr. Pastor” tells the husband that the wife made a pass at him and he is uncomfortable with her being around and if he (the husband) does not mind, the Reverend would appreciate it if they could attend another church. Indicating the fact that the wife’s attention might encourage unnecessary rumors within God’s church. This as you can imagine lead to war at home and to cut the long story short, they separated until the another lady raised an almost similar case and the story was dealt with by the senior members of the church in private and now they are back together (wife and husband).
On the other side…MAN! …the things I put myself through for this blog.
Guys my therapist is already planning a vacation due to the amount of money he makes from me, ever since I begun writing this blog, and I am still dealing with the whole kissing thing. Eish…….
Anyway….another one of my test bunnies revealed a very funny story about dating a Pastor. She said when ever they were doing the tango….Mr. Pastor would scream at the top of his voice as he shoots:
“JERUSALEM…. JERUSALEM… JERUSALEM… OHHHHHH JERUSALEM”. Now all this might just be fine to you all, but she said Mr. Pastor would scream with his sermon like voice (like those TV Evangelists) and in the morning neighbors in the complex would compliment the Pastor on his prayers thinking that he was busy all night praying. She later discovered that whilst at church, when giving sermons and all excited in the “spirit” he uses the same word. This is the stuff that messes people up for life!
You end up asking your new boyfriend to wisper Jerusalem in your ear so that you can get off. Becuase you have been scared for enterinity by a man of God..
Now I see why Catholics abstain…it is so necessary.
She said this was psychological torture for her and she ended the relationship sighting "irreconcilable emotional trauma". She said that whenever she hears the word Jerusalem she goes into immediate shock. She doesn’t go to church anymore. I laughed so much……the people at coffee shop thought I was crazy. She said she hated telling me so bad, that she nearly cried as I told her that there is no way I am not going to share this story. She is now dating a biker…talk about an eraser!
I guess I will skip my appointment this week. The laugh helped!
So I want to know from you….what do you think of this wave of bad men of God? Have you had experiences? If so, share.
Also
have you ever been hit on by a Pastor or Man of God and how did you feel?
