Weight Watching Part 1

Where to start. First up, i am treating this like my personal space so if you're not interested in reading, it's really no biggie. I am documenting what i hope is my last attempt at weight loss. Should have called this a disclaimer, nhe? Maybe i'll type it in small print :D

Moving on *insert footprints here*, it seems i have been on some or other diet for most of my adult life. Unlike most weight watchers, i didnt grow up fat. I was quite average, a comfortable size 34. Then I had a child. I've been dieting ever since.

Simply Slim worked wonders for me before it was discontinued/banned. Shame, I was THAT odd girl who suffered none of the side effects and was pissed that they'd taken my miracle pill out of the market. They've since brought it back but they are really messing with people's minds. It's obviously NOT the same tablet and if people are losing weight on this, then it's clearly the placebo effect or their weight loss meal plans.

Which sorta brings me to the point of this article. I am on a meal plan. I don't know why i've never tried this before but it seems to work. I don't feel i need willpower to sustain it ebile. It's all about portion sizes and not letting yourself get too hungry. This means I must eat 6 small meals a day which is actually 3 small meals and snacks (healthy) in between.

Some days are good, some are riddled with sugar cravings and i don't fight it. I indulge shem. Anyway, since this is really just an intro, i'll stop here.

I weigh in every two weeks. My next weigh in is on the 10th of April.

Starting weight: 87kg

soon as i figure out how to add pictures, i'll add them.

Tox I'm gonna follow your journey as I begin mine. I gained 4kgs in the last 2 months :(, and I was supposed to loose 4 kgs to get to my ideal weight: less than 55kg. Now I'm sitting on 63kg :((. Now I'm getting my vitality membership, ill be joining gym for the very first time, I mean even when I was still at wits I never set foot in the varsity gym, design was all the weightloss program I needed. I wanna join this women gym 'Curves' any ladies been there?...I'm joining the biggest looser aerobics team at work, I'm joing my better half on the road...seeing that I'd gained 4kgs was the saddest highlight of my easter weekend. *tear drop*

No more chips (fish n chips...)...no more country fresh vanilla icecream in my groceries, no more mganum classic treats, no more fizzies...<<< This treats landed me in this position. I'm trully saddened.

LOL, wahlasela shem!

Now I'm getting my vitality membership, ill be joining gym for the very first time

@GA expect that you'll GAIN weight when you gym. There's this crazy thing that happens where u lose body fat and gain muscle which translates to bigger numbers on the scale. I got so despondent when i first joined the gym and noticed my clothes getting tighter. Experts tell us to lift weights because you continue to burn body fat when you have muscle but nna this approach isnt desirable. So jah, heads upping u!

Icecreame diet, the master cleanse diet, and the hospital metabolism diet ( this one really worked first time)

@Miss2legs, tell me about these diets please (out of curiousity).

I think I finally got content with my weight after giving birth BUT my huge problem is the tummy and butt, my God I cannt even stand looking at the mirror especially in a fitting room at the shops my goodness!!!

I am even thinking lipo-suction but it is so expensive, I wish I could just meet a ginny and poof, they are all gone.

Does anybody have somethin to get rid of the tummy and the butt? Tried gym but I work from 8am till 7:30pm  and recently just opened a club and have to monitor everythin so I cant make it to gym. And I have a very soet tooth!

@goldie Exercise shem. i dont know anything else that tackles the stomach.

diet im following a menu this lady gave me goes like oats, apple around 10 skiplunch, sandwich around 3 then eat supper

@Guava4 sounds unhealth shem. like you can't sustain yourself on this diet. plus when you starve your body it holds on to whatever fat is in your body so nje, eat small portions of healthy food and drink lots of water.

Mathaz, did your stomach just naturally shrink or did u excecise?

@ Toxic - The lemon cleanse would never advice you to do it its a starvation diet where you drink water mixed with lemon and cayene paper everyday for 7 days u dnt eat anything else so yah its terrible

The Ice creame diet - You eat Ice creame as part of the meal plan lol!!

The hospital metabolism is a good one its mainly cutting on all fats and carbs , you eat vegetables a lot and instead of salad dressing you can put lemon juice and Virgin olive oil on your salad , grill meat ie fish n skinless chicken ...its a good start to loosing weight ..its for 13 days

I joined Virgin Active at the beginning of last year and lost 12kg of body fat by Jan this year. I gained muscles and am back above 70k after going below in years...but I am loving it. My tummy is not flat but not huge either, my thighs and butt are tighter, I have a neck again since at some point I couldn't see it and my face is slimmer. I am not thin, but I am nice, curvy and not fat :-) I continue to eat healthy food and am still as motivated as ever...
