American Idol 6 - The Winner IS (SPOILER)

After months of searching and singing, American Idol 6 is finally over. Not that I haven't loved every single minute of it but everything has to come to an end and I think any longer and it would have been over-kill.

For a long while there was speculation of Sanjaya being in the finale, but sadly it was not to be and the standoff was between Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks.

I can't say that the finale totally rocked. It started off great but that final song... what was that?? They normally have totally kick-ass songs that do the singers justice but that song was not Blake-material. And if i have to be honest, it wasn't Jordin material either. She needed a bigger ballad to go with her really big voice.

She aced it, but there was still something missing.

ALL THAT ASIDE - the final show is more of a recap because, lets face it, by now you should know who you'll be rooting for.

The results show was filled with the usual glitz and glamour with some groovy guest appearances. (even Constantine Morales was there people)

The Not-so good: Kelly Clarkson's dark look & her new song.
The Pretty - Carrie Underwood
The Great: Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, Tony Bennett , Rubin Studdard
The Weird: The Golden Idols Winners
The Cool: Jordin and Blake both winning a Mustang
The Cute: the African’s Children Choir

AND SANJAYA was there!!! With his crying girlfriend. His hair looked awesome and he once again sang – yeah! You really got me going!!!! Oh yeah you really got me going!!!! I think it’s because we all missed the original performance due to the tears rolling down our cheeks.

And finally, after 2 hours and sitting and watching other people perform, the real reason why I stayed up arrived.

After ad breaks and drum rolls Blake is declared the next Idol.

Ok, not really .17 year-old JORDIN SPARKS is the American IDOL

And now i'm off to lick my wounds... and eat some humble pie!
