They shot to fame by being two men who got married in an African traditional ceremony and now Thoba and Cameroon Sithole-Modisane are paying the price of fame.
The couple, who most arguably think highly of themselves in celebville and even go as far as to compare themselves to mega-superstar Bonang Matheba, woke up to an “outrageous media storm” on Sunday after the Sunday Sun reported that Thoba Sithole-Modisane is subjecting his husband Tshepo Sithole-Modisane to domestic abuse.
The paper went further to report that Tshepo Cameroon has laid a charge of domestic abuse against Thoba but failed to report the case number, let alone a quote from the police officer who assisted Tshepo in opening the alleged case.
The paper further reported that Tshepo intends to sue Thoba for maintenance, namely rent and groceries. #SideEyes. Like isn’t he making his own money?!
Thoba and Cameroon took to Facebook presumably to set the record straight and came out with their guns blazing claiming that during the time the paper reported to have interviewed Tshepo, they were overseas celebrating their anniversary.
I had a Facebook interview with Thoba, who boasted about having celebrated their honeymoon in the UK, Canada and Germany. Now, that’s what we call being a black diamond right there. Let alone the fact that the UK is the entire British aisles (including England, Scotland and Ireland) and Canada is in the United States of America.
The pair has since threatened to sue the Sunday tabloid proclaiming they will be exhausting all legal avenues at their disposal to ensure the paper apologises in a one liner.
