Sexual abuse, Backstabbing, Love, Betrayal and Little Secrets
Last night's episode of Home Affairs IV did not disappoint. We were enthralled for the entire one hour and here is what went down.
Brave Vuyo will have to work hard to expose a bastard who must be ashamed of himself
Vuyo M'twanami asked for advice on how she can help Thuli who's being abused by her step father. She then set down with Thuli and created an atmosphere of trust and tactfully asked Thuli to tell her everything. The poor child told her about the dispicable truth of how her step father wants her to s*ck his tools and then how he rapes her. My jaw was on the floor as Thuli related the story to Vuyo. Having being a victim of rape herself while she was young, Vuyo couldn't help by burst into tears while upholding her strong composure for the child's sake. Thuli asked Vuyo not to tell anyone but Vuyo said she wanted to help and told Thuli's patronising mom about it.
Like a complete stupid that she is and blindly in love, Thuli's mom fearfuly asked her "good man" about it and he denied it outright and said he would never hurt Thuli coz he treats her like his very own child. A few minutes later, he threatened Thuli and said he will kill her, her mother and Vuyo if she continues to tell Vuyo about his sexual escapades with her. Without any shame or any sense guilt, the bastard ordered poor Thuli to s*ck his tools while the mother was busy gossiping on the streets.
The mother told Thuli to apologise to her "good man who pays for Thuli' school fees" and demanded that she tells Vuyo that she lied about the whole thing. But being a victim of rape herself, Vuyo saw that there was something fishy there. This storyline is a tearjerker I'm telling or maybe I'm a softie.
If Cherise thinks chickens may not come home to roost, she must think again because her man's daughter wants her father's attention back.
Cherise and her man are very much in love but her man's daughter is on a mission to break their little love nest. That child is a ticking time bomb and when it explodes, people will get hurt. She discovered all about Cherise's history starting from how she abandoned her child, mom shooting the boyfriend, mom being jailed and all that. She googled all the info and printed it. She even followed Cherise and saw that she was visiting her mom in jail. All the child needs to do right now is tell her father and see what will happen next. One could slap that child I'm telling you. During dinner, she interrogated Cherise about Angel's father and a lot of issues. The father tried to talk to the daughter but hey, bandla, nothing worked, it more like fueling fire.
Meanwhile, she continues to see her older and somewhat dodgy and thuggish "boyfriend", much to her father's dismay. The underlying factor is that the daughter is now competing for her father's attention with Cherise and I reckon the trio needs family counseling.
Though Home Affairs exposes shocking truths about men, it also shows that there are still a few good men left and Ntsepe in one of those. He and fiancee make a great couple
On the other side of the town, cupid is striking it lovey-dovey. Katlego and Ntsepe's friend organisesd kitchen tea and bachelor party for the grand nupitals.
Katlego performed a classic love song about how "I should have said some great thing..." and the other part I don't remember. Ntsepe's friend heard the song and asked her to sing it just for him. It was very clear that he now wants to tell Katlego how much he loves her. Even my 10-year-old niece said: "ba ba babedi ba tlile go ratana". All in all, the party was a huge success with guys dancing their Zulu dances. Everybody had fun. The party was held at Thandeka's place lol.
Love triange is looming. Katlego will get hurt when she realises her crush is into older women, and that woman is her mom nogal. At least she will a shoulder to cry on.
The following morning, Thandeka's toyboy came to help Thandeka clean the party mess and as they were getting all lovey-dovey, Katlego came and they saw her and quickly acted as unlovers. Katlego started her interrogation session and lies were told as to why Thandeka's toyboy was there but Katlego had her suspicions because the lies were obvious lies. This is a man that Katlego has her eyes set on and the poor thing doesn't know what's going on. But when she finds out, she will get over it. Besides, Ntsepe's friend is into her, only if she can see that.
