Phansi nge-Bad behaviour

Let me start by saying thanks to Nonny for the title yes i stole it from you babe!

Just a few things that are on my mind lately. I got a raise yesterday...some of you may say YAY but not me...it was a an insult, it's a 5% raise. To justify this my boss told me that she still thinks i can improve that's y she's not giving me a good raise. I mean WTF? Is a raise supposed to be punishment of some sort? I wanted to say it's fine they can keep it but the broke girl in me couldn't let me utter such words. What would you have done if you were in my shoes....

Talking about Zola...(yes again) I go mad everytime i see his name...i know he helps people and all but sometimes i feel like he's a jackal in a sheep's skin...he's sorounded by all this drama but we all still think he's god because he does all these "great things" i once was watching his show and he was helping these other woman in KZN and this other womans story was really touching and i really felt for her. So the next day i got to work and i sent uZola an email saying I'd really like to help that lady blah blah.... i don't know how many times i sent that email but i've never received a responce which to me seem like Zola wants to take all the glory correct me if i'm wrong...

What do you guys think about Julius Malemas "We are prepared to take up arms and kill for Zuma" statement? I have mixed feelings about it...what i don't get is why the DA had to ask him to apologise for it it doesn't make sense. The decision to apologise has to come from him because he should say it because he means it?

Some stupid questions:
Am i the only person who still calls the Golf 5 a Golf 4?
Am i the only person who sometime thinks that there's actually cash (as in notes)in your bank account not just a figure?
Am i the only person who wants to stay away from man and marriage because of what has been said about men on TVSA lately

If you are not doing your best then yes, 5% is justified.

<<<What would you have done if you were in my shoes.... >>>
1. I would leave blogging for lunchtime or after hours.
2. I would find out from my boss, what areas you need to improve in and work on them.
3. If there is any training I require, I'm sure my boss will be more than happy to send me.

No, you're not. All i can say is if you follow any of the advice dished out on this site, be sure u can live with your decision. i have also caught myself thinking abt my relationship because of stuff some people have written here.

On Zola 7:

There's a movie TUMELO that's being screened at Maponya today. i'd like to know if the Zola7 show has contributed anything in its making.

OFF TOPIC (sorry Mam's)

Vimba: If anyone saw this, what was the point? I have never been so impatient to see KK.
uGugu no Andile: the acting in the 'een, twee, dree" scene was terrible. and that last scene before Andile stabbed Mandla was pathetic.

Oh and about Anything goes, that's the name of my blog!!

This woman who does accounts called me this morning when i got to work and said "Can i ask you something?" i cannot beleive what she asked. She says i jsut want to know if you got a raise, i said, not tht its any of your business but yes, why?? she said because she is looking at the statements and she noticed that im getting more money than i used to. She thinks its Bullsh*t that im getting this amount of money (i swear these are her exact words) she said she's getting 600rand more than me and she thinks its ridiculous!!!! My Gaad, the way angingakhona, i would have told her into enzima kabi, but i was soooooooooo speechless, i mean WTF????? how can she say that!! sorry mambox, i really needed to get that off. phew!!

What Julius Malema said was irresponsible and i do believe that he must retract his statements because they are dangerous. In his defense on E news he said "south africans are not that ignorant to take that statement literally" - i mean hello, didnt we just kill people because they are not south africans? He also blamed the english language...puhleeese!

I think nje u sile Julius, he must take responsibility & set an example for his constituency

So what she did can get her into sooo much trouble! But  then again she can defend herself and say she noticed inconsistencies and was only trying to verify if the amount was correct......

Yazi Belz a new mlungu has recently employed here and she works three days a week and me ke uyazi i deal with the bank statements and pay slips ke. So i found out that she is earning above salary than mine and i confronted my boss about that. I told her is it becoz i'm black or what coz i work everyday here frm 07h30 till 16h30 and i earn less than her that is not on. Then i saw her last month's payslip and her salary was reduced. Mine raised with that amount that was taken off her salary. I mean com on ppl.

She wont ask me what was i doing seeing other people's salary coz its me who is giving them their payslips and its me who is doing the salaries journal for the company, so i shud know who earns what.

If  you work hard and show initiative, they'll give you a huge increase and a promotion....

Serious Belz?, and to answer your question Mambox, I think you are the only one.

Watched Sokhulu and Partners yeAm i the only person who wants to stay away from man and marriage because of what has been said about men on TVSA lately - I think i've always wanted to stay away from men, infact, perhaps most of us do coz we know how bad they can be for us. But fact is, we can't, its unnatural, the bad things they do are nothing compared to what they give us when they are there(there are exceptions of cos)

Yesterday, and my worst actor, Tshepo aka Thiza from yizo yizo was cast, alas as a gay man...hehe, he must be carefuly about typecasting, it gives some of us idead. Anyway, I like the main actors and actresses in the show, but the ppl they bring in every episode sometimes make for hard viewing.

As for that Julius guy, I heard him say on TV last night that he wont apologise for something he didn't mean. I can't even begin to think about how he justifies that.
I'm not into politics, but when i heard that statement, I was shocked, especially considering it was youth day. I don't want to repeat what's been said, all I'll say is that I trully think it was irresponsible.

Renegade
20 Jun 2008 07:10

I'm assuming this being an anything goes article means that ...well...anything goes right. Ok, i have a small issue:
Why are black people so sensitive sometimes? Ok, sometimes it's understandable based on the past, but i'm talking in particular about how easily my people get offended by ads: 3 in particular:

1. The Ricoffy ad where the people are sipping coffee? That ad irritates me because so many people i know drink coffee like that, and I hated it. But I don't get how it is offensive. Is it because it insinuates that thats how black ppl drink coffee? And what if they do? I'm actually trying imagine the ad with white ppl...hai.

2. The Vodacom "we've" been having it ad.
I think that's a hell of a funny ad. Offensive? Why? Because it potrays African Leaders as dictators? Hau guys, come on. If that had been a Hitler look alike would it have been a problem? Is it a bad potrayal.

If this is an issue of potrayal, I'll make an example of my favourite ad, the KFC ad, where one guy goes "your mom's quite hot". I was thinking about what would be said if those guys were all black...that black young guys are being potrayed as wanting older woman, or something to that effect.  And the list goes on. Point is, when an ad is made, the casting is done, and it has to be someone, be it black or white or indian...its casting, sure there's strategy involved...but come now.

I agree, some issues need us to be sensitive, such as the statements made by big names in times of xenophobic violences, but for the sake of the country  sanity, we need to lighten up

Sorry for the essay, this thing's just been bugging me

@ Cande, Rene...was shocked to hear Vavi's statements.... these guys are so irresponsible! Do they realise that the elections are next year and that their stupi comments will jeorpadise their position. I love ANC but this whole thing is making me think twice about them...
