English words used incorrectly by Family Members
Okay guys so we all have family members, close relatives, friends etc ppl who actually love using English words inappropriate. I for one have family members who do that maybe I’m one of them but not aware anyway let me tell you in my family who are those people that uses English words incorrectly.

Let’s take mom for instance; mom never went to school this other time my sisters kids went into her bedroom and made a lot of noise my mom said

Mom: Hey lena mannnnn……le a ndissapointa…..(meant to say le a ndisturba)

Then we have my dad well he went to school but I think he only completed his form 3 anyway yena and my mom only learned two major features on their cellphone i.e.

1. How to answer/make calls
2. Please Call me’s

Now my dad gets a “pls Call” from my mom he phones me

Dad: Errr Mme (that’s what he calls me)
Me: Age Papa
Dad: Errr ke le beletse phone moo, and mama gago ong Blazitse so lenna ka bona go le kaone gore ke mo Blaze (meant to say Buzz)
Me: So le a Blazana wena le Mama neh….

I also have a cousin who likes saying But-Mara, I think a lot of ppl do make a mistake more often on this one even Lawyers.

LOL….regardless of our loved using words in a wrong way one can’t help but laugh, you not laughing because you think you know English better than them but you are laughing cause you think they funny.

So Ma-Bloggers what English Words has any of your family members, relatives, friends etc used incorrectly, think about all those incidents come lets have some fun here it’s a Friday.

Unfortunately we dont have anyone in the family who abuses English. If someone doesnt know something they will ask.

Once we went to a wedding and my sister wanted to say the lady's kist looked like a coffin. But instead she said yoh le casket looks like i box lomcwabo.

My baby sister who was 10 at the time said icasket yani nawe. Yi kist lento

Mstick my father also says disappionta instead of disturba. And I don't know why we don't correct him we're always like yeah we know what he means, then we'll just stop disturbing him.lol

My friend once told me that her mother was suppose to send a message to her aunt (friend's aunt, sister to the mother). And the aunt calls,

Aunt: Yhe wethu kutheni ungandi sendelanga la message?
Mother: Hayi wethu ndilibele ndizokusengela. LMAO

My mom when she wants to say someone is qualifying she would say uya qualifaina. LOL and me and my sister always don't correct them. I think its because we know what they mean shame.

The oldest pastor at church likes saying ....therefore everytime..even when not necessary....and whenever he says tht we go.....moreover/hitherto bcos they sound just as inappropriate...

I honestly had no idea what it meant....she was soo angry..asked me "do you even know what that means"...and all i did was open wider my big eyes.....

This is something totally different, anyway I am gonna say it.

Back at home in the Eastern Cape where I grew up....we used to have umama obencedisa ngokucleaner and he had a naughty young boy named Thozama. And one morning Thozama's mother was busy washing clothes outside and Thozama was lying on the stairs....minding his own business / playing.

Our neighbour(who was an old woman) greeted Thozama's mother...."Molo naka Thozama" just before Thozama's mother responded.....Thozama said "Umnqundwakho".....and continued playing like nothing happened. His mother was so embarrassed

I know this is an extremely old article but i had to just come back for laughs... people have a tendency of saying when something is URGENT they say it is AGENT!!! Then my uncle once said in his THANK YOU speech "and as the family we wish each and everyone of you a SAFETY journey" Then there is this colleague well she is an older anti wethu... moss I just relocated to another province and my hubby is still looking to relocate as well... So when we chat she says" your husband must find a job soon before you get ATTEMPTED to cheat on him" meaning TEMPTED... I just smile at her while giggling inside!!!
