Coming up on 3rd Degree this Tuesday (22 March 2011):

Candice Derman
Actress Candice Derman.

From the age of eight she was sexually molested, even raped, by her stepfather. The terrible abuse went on until she was 16.

For years she hid her traumatic past, but now, she's finally found the courage to speak out.

In her recently published autobiography, “Indescribable”, she paints a detailed picture of the trauma she went through - abused almost daily by her stepfather, the man who shared a bed with her mother.

Candice shares her hearbreak in a journey back to those terrible years.

3rd Degree is on e.tv on Tuesdays at 21h30.

Saw her on "sunrise" some time ago...telling the story, and talking about the book as well. ...Think ive seen her on Noeleen as well. I guess at the end o the day it is a publicity drive for the book...but lets hope that atleast bone person will be inspired to speak up about abuse etc etc...*Oprah face*.

LOL @ Cheesa. True what you say. I seriously felt that way too. And im still saying, if its so much about healing and helping other people heal, why is the book for sale?

What is so "investigative journalism" about some telling her rape story

kwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa /dead!/

Deborah Patta is becoming more and more lazy by the day. Coz seriously, she didnt investigate anything mostaan? As far as i see, its all in black and white through Candice's pen.

heh... and with all the fuss going on about the local elections, youd think she'd be going up and down, or has she been hit by a restraining order to stay as far as possible from Gwede Mantashe?

Hi Candice,I picked up your book at a charity shop in orange grove for R 6.I knew your dad and sister as I was a runner in the 70's at the wanderers and rockey road runners, early till early 80's, strange I always felt something weird even though my life and family were upside down but in a different way .Hear me out:I kinda sorry for the perputrators as though since I turned to spirituality and metaphysics I believe everyone has a choice we create our own realities, no matter the age nothing happens independently like victim/ victimizer both parties agree on the contractl, sound ssick but that how it is, we are all here to learn to create our own realities and to have fun without wishing harm on anyone, thats why when harm comes to me I deal with it psychically not physically, as we are all responsible,' just a penny for my thoughts', and perhaps help you look at thins from a different perspective. Once you break free from the consensus matrix you will see what I mean, our thoughts create our reality so we are all responsible for everything that happens to us thus we cant really blame anyone for example, when I had a gun to my head a while back afterwards I realised I had done things wrong in my mind and going through my illusional personal hell of guilt and torment anxiety dread the works, and thus was vibrating at a very negative frequency and so I attracted this dangerous gangster it helped change me the experience, and I forgave him as bizzarrl-y this gangster helped me I hugged him and released him inmeditation for me this is a far better way to go(birds of a feather flock together) so I say live and let live and watch ones thoughts anyhow take care.
