Homicide File
Premiere date: Friday, 13 June 2008 at 22h00
Episodes go out in a double bill.

Cross-country crime sprees. Love affairs turned tragic. Fugitive financiers. Schoolgirl killers. Dead priests. Cruel cannibals. Sadistic snipers …

Homicide File is a true crime series in which cases are probed through interviews with the friends and family members of the victims and perpetrators. The show offers an insightful background from investigators and experts, and a visual mix of archival news footage, headlines, on-location shoots and crime re-enactments.

What compels a killer to kill? How were they caught? Who was left behind to deal with the consequences of each crime?

Homicide File asks these questions of the infamous crimes of Paul Bernardo and Clifford Olsen to more recent cases such as the conviction of Robert Bonisteel, sent to prison by DNA collected 30 years ago.

Missing Person’s Unit is a new series that explores the emotionally-charged world of Australia’s New South Wales Missing Person’s Unit (MPU).

Unfolding over months of dramatic filming, the show’s cameras record the real time detective work of the MPU as they search for missing people.

In each episode, this insight into the MPU and its field and forensics investigators plays out against the intimate pleas for help from devastated families.
