Zukisa Matola is a South African actress, dancer and singer best known for her lead roles in the SABC1 drama series Tsha Tsha (2004-2006) and Tshisa, from 2006-2012.

Growing up in a household of women in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape, she wanted to be an actress from when she was in her teens.

Zukisa studied Speech and Drama at City Varsity from 1998-1999. She worked in children’s theatre, commercials and industrial theatre until her break into television in 2005 as a series regular on the SABC1 sitcom Mzee Wa Two Six, playing the role of Fix.

She folllowed this up with her first lead role on the AIDS drama series Tsha Tsha, in which she played Nobuntu, an Aids orphan and head of a family of boys.

In 2005 she also appeared in e.tv's soapie Scandal!, playing the role of Sibongile.

In 2006 she landed another leading role in an SABC1 drama series, playing TV diva Ayanda Ncebe in Tshisa.

She debuted on the SABC1 soapie Generations on Wednesday 16 March 2008, playing the role of Bridget Tshabane. She is contracted on the show until March 2008.

In addition to her work in television, Matola has also acted in numerous theatre productions including Look Before You Leap (Big Time), Don't Think So, As If, Picture This and Little Bear.

She has also appeared in a number of television commercials for clients such as e.tv, Castle Lager, FNB, Esprit, Sunsilk and Discovery Card.

She is multilingual, speaking English, Xhosa, Zulu, Tswana and South Sotho.
