Bio

Nicholas Bishop is an English-born Australian actor best known for his television roles as Detective Peter Baker on the soap opera Home and Away (2004–2007) and as Peter Dunlop on the medical drama Body of Proof, from 2011-2012.

Since graduating from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1996, Bishop has worked extensively in international theatre, film and television.

His feature films include Punishment, Occasional Coarse Language, My Mother Frank, Powderburn and the critically acclaimed Walking on Water.

Additional television credits include Past Life, McLeod's Daughters, Heartbreak High, Water Rats, Blue Heelers, Farscape, White Collar Blue and All Saints.

An accomplished screen acting teacher who has worked with NIDA since 2000, Bishop has been the Australia Day Ambassador for the entertainment industry since 2004.

When not in production, Bishop lives in Sydney, Australia.
