Actor Biography

Mai-Li is 20 years old and comes from Durbanville in the Cape. Mai-Li is a third year student at Stellenbosch University. She is studying a B.Com degree and a Law degree.

Once she has completed her two degrees, Mai-Li would like to venture into either the business world or journalism.

She enjoys writing poetry, singing, and the theatre and is a major supporter of Reach for a Dream. This year alone, she raised over R18 000 for her favourite charity and she would continue to do so should she become Miss South Africa. She would also focus on other children based charities.

Mai-Li also enjoys gym, yoga and has recently taken up Pilates. She loves to play tennis but not competitively.

Mai-Li has had an Afrikaans poem published this year in a volume of poetry and she has also written a play. Her dream is to have one of her plays presented at the KKNK as Afrikaans is the primary language that she writes in.
