Bio

Eva Marcille (previously known as Eva Pigford) is an American model, television presenter and actress best known for winning the third season of the reality competition television series America's Next Top Model, in 2005.

Eva was 19 at the time of the show and one of the youngest contestants.

Growing up in Southern California, Marcille's family dubbed her "Eva the Diva" early on, because of her self-assured attitude and her eye for fashion.

The young Eva was always the centre of attention, and always managed to steal the spotlight from whoever stood in her way. As a child Eva had lofty ambitions for her ability to sway opinion - that of a Supreme Court Justice.

After completing grade school in California, Eva moved to the east coast to attend Clark Atlanta University, one of the nation's top historically black colleges, where she majored in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Theatre and minored in Criminal Justice.

As a freshman, Eva so excelled in the Debate and Forensics Society that she was quickly elected their president. An outstanding student, Eva had been granted early admission into Vanderbilt Law School when she was selected to be a part of the third cycle of America's Next Top Model.

Eva was one hard cookie on the highest rated season of Tyra Banks' hit modeling show. Over the course of the show, Eva blossomed from a tough, street savvy girl to a nice, fashion-savvy and elegant cover girl. Eva won the competition over the other finalists proving that she deserved everything she worked so hard for.

Although America's Next Top Model made her famous, Eva has been modeling and working longer than most people know. Having been featured in numerous photo shoots with accomplished fashion photographers, she starred in the independent feature film, The Walk, during her freshman year in college.

Following her ANTM win, Eva became an international runway sensation, and has since graced the covers of countless American and European fashion magazines and appeared in numerous fashion campaigns.

Eva's acting career has also taken off. After recurring and guest star roles on Tyler Perry's House of Payne, Smallville, and Everybody Hates Chris, Eva had a leading role in Sony Pictures' film Crossover, and Chris Rock wrote a supporting role just for her in his Fox Searchlight feature, I Think I Love My Wife.

During her first pilot season, she landed a series regular role in Aaron Spelling's pilot, The Wedding Album. A lead role in the independent film, Premium, followed.

Eva also served as the co-creator and producer of BET J's hit fashion series My Model Looks Better Than Your Model.

Eva was also a series regular on the daytime drama The Young & the Restless, from 2008-2009. She also hosted two seasons of the reality competition Hair Battle Spectacular.
