Gates McFadden is an American actress and choreographer best known for her role as Dr. Beverly Crusher in the television and film series Star Trek: The Next Generation. She appeared in 155 episodes of the show, from 1987-1994.
She has appeared in the following Star Trek movies, always as the same character:
Star Trek: Generations (1994)
Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998)
Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)
She has also voiced two video games, Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity (1995) and Star Trek: Generations (1997).
Aside from her work on Star Trek, McFadden has had recurring roles in the television series All My Children, Marker, and Mad About You.
She has made guest appearances on Saturday Night Live, The Wizard, The Cosby Show, L.A. Law, Dream On, Party Of Five, The Practice, The Division, and The Handler.
Apart from her Star Trek films, McFadden has also appeared in the movies The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984); When Nature Calls (1985); The Hunt for Red October (1990); Taking Care of Business (1990); and Dirty (2005).
She also had a role in the 1997 made-for-TV movie Crowned and Dangerous.
