Bio

Brendan Penny is a Canadian actor best known for his starring television roles as A.J. Varland in Whistler (2006) and as Danny Newell in The Assistants, in 2009.

He also has a starring role as homicide detective Brian Lucas, the youngest Detective Trainee on the force whose open naiveté and natural innocence make him the butt of good-natured ribbing from the rest of his colleagues, in the police procedural crime drama television series Motive.

Brendan was born in Ottawa, Canada, and moved to Vancouver in 2002 to pursue acting.

His acting resume includes appearances on Stargate: Atlantis, Smallville, Kyle XY, The L Word, and Supernatural, and in the movies I Love You, Beth Cooper and Tooth Fairy.

In addition to acting, Brendan loves surfing in remote destinations, snowboarding, hockey, tennis, playing and listening to music, and hanging out with his Boston terrier, Daphne.
