  Weight Watching Part 1.5

I was supposed to have weighed in yesterday but I postponed because i had gone to Venda over the Easter period and there is NO way i'll eat salads and tuna for lunch when everyone else is having 'free range' chicken and pap.

It would have been pointless and dreadful to stand on that scale and see no progress- or possibly weight gain.

In the mean while i have discovered MYPLATE It's an online version of a food diary and it calculates the calories in the food you eat. All you have to do is enter the food on the site as you eat it. My daily calorie intake is 1200 so I can literally watch what I eat so i dont exceed it. Sometimes I am on myfitnesspal.

I also take the following vitamins:

                              Foodstate multivitamin and mineral complex
                                                  Optimega
                                                 Staminogno 

At this stage i'm not sure what they do but they were recommended and damn expensive too.

There's a difference, however slight, in the way my clothes fit. I don't think I've lost kilos yet but there has definitely been a centimetre loss.

A typical meal day looks like this:

Breakfast: 1 weetbix, 1.5 cup fat free milk
Snack: fruit and fat free yoghurt

Lunch: tuna salad, 3 provitas, low fat salad dressing
Snack: fruit and yoghurt

Supper: Meat and vegetables

I alternate and add other things to the menu as i feel like it. Like I can have low GI bread instead of provitas, muesli or all bran flakes instead of weetbix, and fish instead of meat.

Tox you have encouraged to go back to the gym my money has been exercing for me since October that's my problem right there. I'm lazy to go to the gym in summer enjoy it in winter. Monday yimi negym. I don't eat muesli anymore I gained weight by eating it. I can't eat more than 3 times a day I try to eat breakfast noma kunzima I'm not used to eat in the morning since primary school.

@Makgotso, winter is tougher on my gym habits..the cold nje turns me off. but jah, this is my second year with VA and i've only been to the gym for a period totalling a month since i joined.

Day 1 at gym was fun. My challange will be keepin it up looonger, I like the eating plan. Kodwa @Tox this supplements, pills , doesn't your body get dependant on them? 

@GA what did u do? The supplements dont aid in weight loss so the body doesn't have to rely on them for anything. They serve to feed your body with all nutrients it needs. All this low fat and vegetables can't be good in the end.

@blueroze you really need to MOVE MORE than you eat. That's the essential secret to weight loss.

I dont find time to go to gym. I pick up and drop off my child (school) and thought i'd gym during my lunch hour but it never happens. i'm either too hungry to go and gym or i'm discourged by the fact that i'd end up spending 30mins there and the other 30mins spent on travelling and showering afterwards.

so i get home and go to the nearby stadium. A brisk walk around the field and walking up and down the stairs on the stands has worked for me. Find things to keep u moving at home. Buy a skipping rope, buy dumb bells, do sit ups, get an exercise DVD. Shame there's lots you can do. And drink lots of water!

I gave up a long time ago if it happens it will happen.
My sister lost a dress size and I was impressed, she did this in a months time with her eating plan.
She also does some mild exercising.
I do moderate gym but no results.
Maybe it is my eating habit but I really cant eat 1 weetbix.

NO. It doesn't just happen, unless you're really ill.

I do moderate gym but no results.
How many minutes do you spend at the gym, what exercises are you doing? 
You basically need to burn more than you consume. 

If you're spending 20 minutes on the treadmill, walking at a pace of 5.5, you'll use up a maximum of 100 calories for instance. If your food intake for the day exceeds what your body requires, you can subtract the 100 calories burned from the excess and you would still not have done anything to lose weight....wabona?

You can alternate, lemme send you two meal plans. you can alternate the foods to meet your stomach needs. If you eat 1 weetbix, half a cup of milk, a yoghurt and a fruit you will feel full. You can replace the weetbix with the low gi slice, or muesli or all bran flakes.

In between apple, low fat yoghurt (Slimmers choice) and grapes
I drink at least 2 litre per day
At the gym I believe I burn more than 800 calories a day 4 times a week min I can even do gym 6 times a week sometimes.
LOL maybe I am really ill I was told I need to loose 30kg by the doctor

Eish I'm not motivated. But I'm going, maybe coz its a new thing I'm doing, I've never ever done gym so everything is new, intimidating peeps. Humpphhhh. BUT ek gaan vandaag, for the second time. @Tox, I hear you sisi thanx, re: suppliments. Cut down on your carbs. Have bacon and egg without the bread/ bread and egg/  bacon and bread. Wors is fatty nje, rather have lean mince or other meats. and add vegetables and salads to your diet. Kana you can have as much lettuce as you can without adding kilos. Cabbage, spinach are also good.

At the gym I believe I burn more than 800 calories a day 4 times a week min I can even do gym 6 times a week sometimes. 

That's a lot and this is good!!!! You are sabotaging your weight loss with the food you eat....

Lol, may be beginners euphoria on some parts, but I enjoyed rowing. Its the step thing that I will never go back to. Cut down starch, LOL everytime I try to eat without starch, b4 I sleep I'm so hungry ill eat a slice of bread...with butter (flora) or jam *hides*...tltltt...

LOL good news just went for free screening at work they said I must loose 12kg at least it is reachable unlike 30. Send the eating plan I will just have to be disciplined

i lost 5 kg last week because i was depressed. i lost a friend my friend's boyfriend and the stuff i heard depressed me so much. 

all along they have being living a lie....... everything that they told me was a lie because they didnt want to disclose the boyfriend's real illiness. from faked pregnancies to fake business etc. 

i am now working on maintaining the weight......

i blame my big tummy on pap shem, im a typical rural tsonga gal, if there's no pap in the plate, its not food lol
