This is her answer when asked about the difference between playing herself on a reality show versus a telenovela: "I play myself as the head of Tammy Taylor. So, that was quite a natural role for me. I understand what I’m doing. The Diepe Waters team just had to help me make the words fit with my facial expressions." Expect stellar acting. NOT.

These endless pageants are out of control. Miss World South Africa airs on S3 on 28 October at 18h00, hosted by Minnie Dlamini. The goal: to find an entrant for Miss World in India in December. But we've just had Miss South Africa and Miss SA 2021 Shudu Musida was our contender for Miss World two years ago. This year a different 12 are competing to go. Why? Because the Miss South Africa Organisation has lost its Miss World license to Carol Bouwer Productions.

New season of uBettina Wethu elbowed out of SABC1's 19h30 timeslot yet again. It was supposed to premiere on Monday 13 February but didn't. This changed to Monday 6 March but now it's been replaced by a revival of Deal or No Deal South Africa, the international format first localised by M-Net in 2007. No explanation from the SABC or uBettina producers on why.

Can you believe the SAFTAs are virtual again this year?! Apparently the contract for the production was done while the country was still in lockdown and the bid criteria for production houses stated it couldn't be a public event. Category presenters will present from a central location, while winners will accept their awards in pre-recorded inserts. Moja Love endangered people's lives on Saturday (16 January) when hopefuls were arrested at auditions at the Booysens Hotel in Joziburg, Fighting broke out and Covid protocols were broken. INSANE that the channel thought it was okay to have open auditions in the flesh when everyone else is doing virtual.
