A heads-up that BET's new local telenovela Isono: The Sin won't be starting this Monday 27 July anymore.
NOT that this is the date that DStv's been advertising. As you've probs seen, they've been running a promo for weeks saying it's starting on 6 July.
It's all wrong. The 6th, the 27th. It's not starting anymore.
Because of our Evil Overlord COVID.
Lala Tuku, MD at Clive Morris Productions, revealed the change of plan
on Twitter today with this statement:
Due to ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19 in our country, and the fact that we’ve entered a peak phase, we’ve made a decision to temporarily suspend production on the set of ISONO. Cast and crew’s health and safety remain our 1st priority.
BET followed-up with a statement saying that Monday's premiere has been postponed as a result.
